What ads? I don't remember the last time I saw an ad on a webpage...
I got my GC pretty late in its life cycle, (I think it was before Twilight Princess) and I did not know Wind Waker existed until I saw it for $8 on a shelf at K-mart.
Vox - Voxel-Based Action-Adventure/RPG
A prime example that comes to my mind right away is Minecraft. And there are also some games that work better outside of Steam. Although I love Steam, I have to agree - Steam isn't everything.
"We love Steam. But there are lots of great games you can't currently find there! Discover some of them here, and support indie development," the main Not On Steam page announces. Of particular note: The Yawhg, I Get This Call Every Day, Richard & Alice and Solaris. All on sale at a discount, to boot.

Sci-fi shooter + Valve Source engine = o_O :D
I don't play Call of Duty, and if I wanted to, I would play it on PC. I don't play sports games either. I don't watch TV, and even if I wanted to I don't need an Xbox for it.
You sure have a... strange taste in attractiveness. I mean, some of these - either have to be trolling or joking.
Absolutely agree.
While I don't agree with the use of (an inorexably subjective) rating aggregates like Metacritic for practices like these, I can't say the same for Bethesda's actions.
Looks like I won't be playing this game, ever. Or in the very least, I won't be buying it. Especially not for $60 - a complete and utter waste of money. And since it'll probably be on Origin instead of Steam, forget it.
