This here is pretty much the correct take on situations like this.

Nobody cares about criticism, that’s as old as art itself.
Why would that be an alt-right talking point, they aren’t a creative community they are White Ethno-Nationalists. I’ve spoken to some of them and I can tell you freedom of art is not some key agenda, they want my race gone.
I haven’t seen any alt-right talking points and in any case none of this has to do with ethno-nationalism or race in general.
I would wager the percentage of gamers who demand compelled/controlled speech is significantly less than gamers who simply play what appeals to them.
You overestimate the opinion of others.
A fair enough assessment, except it’s predicated on them being concerned what you think of them. As I said that’s running its course and once that attitude is normalized, you guys will have to re-learn self agency to curate your own entertainment.
This is the exact conundrum I was referring to. The offended parties *just last week* attempted the same logic you’re dismissing right now. The only difference is the free speech side has the numbers to sway the decision. Frankly that’s always been the case, which is why the arguments against offensive speech tends to…
Kinda sure it does.
This was the best call a company made in a long time. I’d love to see what the actual counter-argument is aside from “screw the majority user base” that this comment section is littered with.
He didn't say anything against gay people.
Progressives (and anyone else offended) have a curious conundrum on their hands:
“3,000 Americans died, OK?"
Because ideologues on the far-left anointed themselves judge of what constitutes respectful conduct. Meaning this guy could have no history of harassing anybody in his life, but while most people would identify a crass joke on his product an ideologue would determine he declared war on a demographic. There’s no…
It's obvious. I'm openly oppose to far-left ideology. It doesn't even count as 'admitting' it, my comment history here makes it clear.
“No one likes being called a dick, especially when in a situation when you feel like you’re unfairly being asked to spend money.”
The in-game stuff was at worst crass (in a game where you shoot people), but what’s troubling is the need to include their off-job postings..? I don’t see what somebody’s personal views have to do with their work and I certainly don’t see why there’s a western ideology litmus test within a global industry.
Thank you.
Playing Devil’s Advocate; it probably *would* have been better to create a WNBA standalone. Unlike a WWE game where the female roster is smaller and there’s no promise to include every performer, a sports game tends to attempt just that.
Nobody in the galaxy believes women are taking over men's sports. That's not even possible.
