Could you say that we're...queens of the stone age?

That's why I said the author could have worded it better. By that I meant that she should have left out the mention of a "Jew fro". I was just confused as to whether or not the phrase itself was offensive.
I am just going to give the author the benefit of the doubt and assume she didn't know that "Jew 'fro" was an offensive term. I had no idea that it was loaded or offensive before reading the comments on this article. I honestly believe she didn't mean to offend and was just trying to say the white curly hair struggle…
I saw STP when I was 18. I was so excited leading up to the show, but when I told all of my friends about it, they had no idea who Stone Temple Pilots even were. They vaguely knew Velvet Revolver, but had pretty much never heard of STP. It made me sad for my generation. Hahaha.
I am legitimately sad over the Scott Weiland thing.
I wasn't even born yet when the "Sex Type Thing" video came out, but I still love STP.
Is it worse than her weird, out-of-breath voice in Guardians of the Galaxy? (She was still badass as Nebula, though).
Yes.
I am 21 and I don't think I've ever met anyone who doesn't know "Baby Got Back". It even plays on the radio here! Everyone knows that song!
Children of the Corn chic.
Since a few commenters don't seem to get it, let me put it another way. If a man comes up to me, introduces himself, asks my name, and THEN compliments my appearance, that is fine (especially if he picks up social cues/knows when to leave me alone). But coming out of the gate with a comment on physical appearance…
Her Universe is amazing! I need to look into Gold Bubble.
You should have asked him what about all of us black women who experience street harassment?
Bill Murray?
It would be like if a local artist was selling handmade jewelry for the same price as jewelry from Tiffany's. Or if a local boutique was selling their clothes for the same prices as Dior. The two things are not comparable, so they should not cost the same. I don't think that's unfair to say, so let's just agree to…
I think it is fair. I go to fan run, small cons all the time and I have never seen one that was $80 for a weekend. It doesn't make sense. Especially if there are pretty much no celeb (even d-list or internet famous) guests.
That's still super pricey. A three day pass to New York Comic Con is $65
The song is cheesy, but I'm not even going to lie and say that this video didn't make me cry.
Not Jurassic Park and RoboCop! It's cool, I love those movies enough to be able to laugh at them.
Sorry, but I have to say you're wrong about Captain America. Steve Rogers was from New York, not the South. And the whole reason he was chosen to be Captain America was because he was good and pure and not a racist/sexist shithead like those around him. That's the whole point of the character in the comics! To be a…
