I agree, Oscars don't matter, but I thought the cover was only for Oscar nominees. Touche on the Fassy comment, but Cumberbritches has said some questionable things. Sherlock is a good show, though. :)

Nice Pacific Rim reference.

I did that in middle school when his hair was red and black. Jared Leto used to be my style icon, I'm not ashamed.

No thanks. I'd rather have Michael Fassbender. I don't think Cumberbatch is nominated for any Oscars, anyway.

Damn, that's a sexy cover.

So sensual

Oh hai, Clay.
I'll be in my bunk...

As a college student in America, I can tell you that these discussions are not happening at a lot of schools/a lot of American college students are not participating in these discussions.

I'm a Packers fan, so I'm just gonna sit here and pretend that this isn't sexy as hell.

Okay, without your tone to go by, it's hard to tell if you were being snarky by correcting me, that's all.

So, Canadians don't know what American football is? I'm sorry, I made a mistake about them being a US based company, but my point still stands.

I kind of agree. Not with her bullshit "reason". But it's hard for me to believe that little girls try to look like a small, plastic doll. When you take her clothes off, Barbie doesn't even resemble a human body. If women are saying they - or their daughters - are developing an unhealthy body image from Barbies, I

They are still a US based company. And the Superbowl is a large enough event (that's actually broadcast in several countries) that a good amount of their Twitter followers would get the joke.

It's not a significant, deep connection that you would have with a loved one. But let's say there's a movie that I watched almost everday as a child. An actor from that movie that I grew up on dying would be harder for me to take than the death of a person I have never even seen before and is not related to me.

Good to know

No, it isn't. The point of the joke is that the Broncos, who lost by almost 40 points, were "raped" by the Seahawks. Because losing a sports game is definitely the same thing as being raped. eyeroll

People die every day. Most people don't think that much about dead people that they have no connection to. It's sad when people die, but we can't be devastated over every death.

And we have a winner!

For me, it's not about whether he's right. Not every opinion needs to be shared.

In this country, a lot of people aren't forced to be soldiers. Why enlist when you know there is a very real chance that you will die at war?
