This was my first Anime/Manga, and my childhood.... Such fond memories.

I read/watched Ranma 1/2 as a kid. This is nothing compared to that. This isn't even tame compared to it, it's just nothing.

Whaaaat? Just today I grabbed the Buffalo Ranch one on a whim, having never had it before, and it was great. I'll deffinatly be going back to try more of them.

I think a lot of people don't notice good lettering/typesetting. I talk to the guy who did the comic I posted above and what he's always said is that everyone will notice and call out really bad lettering, but if you do a perfect job no one will really notice, because it just blends into the comic as it should.

The leading and positioning of the text is bad, poor font choices abound... just bleh.

Honestly, if I was going ot show someone anime for the first time and I wanted them to take it seriously, I would show them Steins;Gate. Not Index or Naruto.... and as much as I liked SAO I would definitely not show them SAO first.
