I try to ignore it when friends or coworkers make the mistake, forgiving them for not being English students or professional writers. (It irritates me, but I try to move past it!)

Many adults think that's the proper way. I hear it on countless TV shows and always wonder if the writers haven't learned proper English.

I usually don't mind ABC Family shows, and I've been known to DVR a handful of them in the past.

They have every right to approach her. But let the lady pee in peace and, as Zaftig said, wait outside until she's done.

I dunno, I'm mixed on this. I think there's a line between common sense and abuse of your account. Letting people who live with you use it? OK. Your teenage kid in a college dorm? Sure. Giving the info to your neighbors, best friends, ex-roommates from college and every family member down to your second cousin? That's

I was wondering the same thing! Does it start on the other side of the earth at midnight their time? Or does it travel the earth with the sun? I must know so I can be totally prepared, of course.

At least the songs made sense within the plot of the show. Auditions + singing a favorite song at a funeral. It's so much better than shoehorning songs in on a "theme" episode.

I had to laugh about Sleeping Beauty.

Ugh, I can't stand Rhys. I keep hoping he'll go away somehow.

Pfft, Arya is pretty much the smartest 10 year old (or however old she is in the series) in the world. Period. She'll make mistakes, cuz she's not even a teenager yet, but she's got more common sense in her pinky finger than most others have in their whole bodies!

My aunt and uncle decided to have a surrogate mother for their child because my aunt was unable to have children. However, my aunt does 90% of the parenting for my cousin, and when my uncle is left alone with her for any amount of time, he calls my aunt regularly asking how to handle things.

Although I'm not part of a book club, I don't necessarily agree with you. It's not necessarily about having someone to choose books for you, it's about having someone to discuss the book with.

Oh, I agree about stepping outside of genre from time to time. I sometimes need a break, and will pick up the latest murder mystery or I'll grab a Jane Austen novel. My book shelves are the best representative of how I read - 4 out of 5 book shelves are filled with scifi/fantasy and the other is random "other."

Or perhaps fantasy/science fiction readers might not flock to a book club that focuses on writers like Lorrie Moore. (Who I honestly have never heard of before this...)

It's funny that you say Season 5 was the high point...

>Elective< cosmetic surgery is for adults. I'm sure there will be exceptions to the rule!

They definitely hate larger women and big boobed women. My sister-in-law got her bridesmaids dresses from there. Not only was the largest size a dress size too small for me, but my D (to DD) bust was busting outta it so bad that I was embarrassed to be in it. It sucked. Lots. (And as I look at it now, it appears

You know, I've lived in the South my whole life, and I've never actually heard anyone other than movie characters call it "The War of Northern Aggression."

Financial aid alone paid for housing/food expenses? Did you have scholarships & student loans, and are you counting that as financial aid? Because I know my own Aid at my small university was just over $4,000 a year (Pell Grant), and classes for Spring/Summer/Fall usually ran about $3,725...which would have left a

Charlie Sheen is a grown man. What is his family supposed to do exactly? I bet having him committed against his will would be difficult. As long as Sheen can prove he's sober, with his pull and money and acting ability (to convince the doctors that the crazy bit is the act), I doubt they would be able to manage to get
