If the man firing pistol rounds is Israel, then you wouldn't have a rifle in the closet, it would have been taken from you along with your food and other supplies.. then when you fight to get it back, you're shot at.

But so as long as you have high quality quality rockets and you shoot them at a people you oppress' homes, that's OK... right?

The rockets were nearly impotent before the shield. Facts, get some...

If it means less actual casualties, I'd take the latter. A lot of the rockets fired never reach their targets, often landing in the middle of nowhere, exploding in flight or not detonating on impact.

The problem is that Hamas is only using what's available to them. I'm not saying they are using it wisely, but if they had any accuracy whatsoever, they'd probably prefer to actually hit their intended targets.

Neither are genocides, seems Israel leaned a lot from past wars.

You could say the same about Israel, if they would just accept that the land the Palestinians are on is there's and they have a right to live just as much as anyone else.

Not at all, Hamas is stupid for firing the rockets when they did (so close to an election). It's only going to help the current pro-war Israeli government remain in power. Then again, it may have been for that exact reason. If a pro-peace party were to get into power and a solution worked out there would be no need…

Didn't the last Hamas attack only kill 5 people.. and the retaliation killed over a thousand?

In the last attack, Hamas killed.. what was it.. 5 people? While tragic it pales to the number killed by the Israeli attack.
