Saved me a post. But I think you can learn critical thinking skills in the liberal arts. Part of critical thinking is seeing and evaluating opposing view points and considering alternative explanations. No reason you can't develop those skills by discussing literature.

this post made me happy!

This story is an interesting example of how editorialized article headlines can color public opinion (or maybe how public reaction now editorializes headline titles?) :

The point, I think, is that it's the first step to creating something that works like Iron Man's "Suitcase Armor" from Iron Man 2. Imagine a device that's made up of the same type if paper/shrinky-dink as the robot in the article, but instead of custom shapes, say it's made of uniform triangles. You could then create

as a 35 year old, I whole-heartedly agree. I was reading that blurb up top about SWVII and I was thinking how happy I am for the guy too. Out of everyone in those movies, he deserves this the most.

Yeah, that's my point. It suggests that he's doing exactly what Obi-Wan did, not that he's sitting in a dank cell some place.

So because this...

Side note: I still have the most awful theory about Shmi's immaculate conception, Palpatine, and Force-roofies. It makes Palpatine even more vile than the PG-13 baseline of Star Wars would allow but, quite frankly, it seems very Sith-like to me. Go around the galaxy conceiving Baby Palpatines into lives of misery in

Disney should make the prequel trilogy non-canon. It would restore so much magic to the Star Wars universe and open up many exciting storytelling possibilities. Not to mention they could come out with a new PT and make several billion dollars.

There is no "A New Hope". There is Star Wars and it is very good.

My pet theory: Episode VII will ignore the prequels more or less entirely. Not in that they're retconned entirely out of existence, but in that the new movies will avoid making any overt references to events before Episode IV. Hence the "Year Zero" cutoff point.

I 100% hate the movie for 'Jurassic Park: the Lost World'. I loved the book, but oh god...that steaming pile of mess....THEY NEVER SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN OFF THE ISLAND!!!!!

Faramir being weak to pull of The Ring. They added 30 useless minutes of run-time with Faramir holding Sam and Frodo, and also destroyed his ONE defining characteristic, that he was BETTER and STRONGER than his brother, and therefore more worthy to be king.

Yay! Any time.

in Vib? Psy attention to your advisors. The in game documentation is good too.

I really wanted NEMESIS to be as cool as it's cover art. That is pure Cyberpunk right there.
