Oh, I didn't take it that way. Sorry if my response was snippy! :)

Oh, jeez. That doesn't sound contrived at all. Thanks for the info!

I thought this was romancy? Am I wrong? I LOVE historical fiction, but usually shy away from HisFic that tends towards the romantic. I'm a big fan of Cornwell's Saxon series and love most stuff set in the British Isles, so I was really close to giving this one a go until someone said it was more like romance.

I need to read House of Leaves. That's been in my queue for years. I hear it's a pretty difficult read, though?

I read the first two Hyperion books, but couldn't get through Endymion for some reason. I'm planning on giving it another go, but I'll have to re-read all of them because it's been so long since I read them. I plan on having a go at Ilium, too.

You got a bloody right to say...

Wrapping up this one right now. Slow start, but once it got rolling I couldn't put it down.

I don't know anything about that. I never played RPG's. I remember it being mentioned in some of the EU books (maybe Zahn's?). But the ship in the video above owes its lineage to McQuarrie's original concept art. Lucasfilm has been slowly easing back towards those designs since they announced SW Rebels. I think it's

No. I haven't seen it. I just wrote that because it sounded cool.

LOL

Yes, we're sure.

Nope. It's a McQuarrie X Wing.

The whole Suncrusher thing worries me more than anything about this article. I don't buy the hand thing for one second, but if Abrams was going to borrow anything from the EU, why in Yoda's name would he borrow anything from Kevin Anderson? The man is a hack, and his SW books are abominations that should be scrubbed

Those who believe the Sun gave birth to fire do not understand the true history of things. Fire filled the ether, streaming behind the wings of dragons and gods, long before a star could pull itself together and take the form of constant explosion.

Thanks for posting this!

This doesn't look like my cup of tea, but I am glad to see indie directors giving science fiction a try. The final product, while maybe not as polished, can sometimes be really surprising in its thoughtfulness and sincerity.

Okay, it's a mess, but I still love it.

Hokey, but brilliant.

I love this film. I don't know if I would call it a masterpiece, but it certainly isn't a mess.
