That's kinda how I see it these days.

I've read this so many times, I had to replace it a couple of times.
I live in Texas. I laughed at the "Dallas wife". So true.
Beat me to it.
I think this opens up a niche market that some smart, innovative person could come along and fill. As long as licensing restricts access to digital forms of distribution across different distribution platforms, I think the demand for art house/cult/hard-to-find films combined with the nostalgia of actually going to…
The broad needs to be topless, then we'd have something.
Oh, well, you must be loaded by now, right?
Take heart, necgray! You won't always be a poor student. Congrats on getting your education, and good luck putting it to use!
No. That's called an opinion. The fact is, even people who aren't "wealthy" have the ability to save for things that they may want to buy. You've never bought a big ticket item? How about that computer you used to write that post? I'm sure it was more than $200.
I think, in either case, it works. And, at the end of the day, I think it doesn't really matter what this artist (or Hopper) intended to say. It's really up to the "reader" to decide for herself what she thinks the piece means to her.
I love this.
The distance (of the original) illustrates the isolation of the subjects in the diner from one another and from the empty streets of the outside world. It's about alienation and hopelessness. It reflects the sentiments of the noir films of the 40's and 50's.
Something officially licensed would probably be made in the third world by people making near-slave wages, and would probably deserving of your scorn! :)
I don't know how I feel about the Mondo thing. I like a lot of stuff that they put out, but I don't really have room for more "art" on the walls, so I've never…
$200 is more than I can afford, too. But, as someone that makes things from scratch for a living, I understand the hard work that goes into making something by hand. I didn't grasp this concept until I started building things with my own two hands and saw the amount of time and effort that goes into producing…
Yeah, there's been a precedence set of filmmakers who have released SFX-heavy short films on youtube and vimeo getting signed by Hollywood production companies to make features, and I am afraid that there are a lot of people trying to repeat the process.
The setting is really well done and the SFX are very nice. I would love to see this expanded. But they need to work on the story. A lot.
Pointless drug laws here in the States put a TON of people in the system that do not belong there. And the prison lobby doesn't want that to change.
I don't speak Klingon. It's a made up language, and learning how to speak it would be of no value to me. Get back to me when you get some sense, man!
The really heavy sliders get a... surprise at the end of this ride.
