When I bought my 944, the previous owner had the timing belt go on him and it bent the valves. So he redid the entire motor. Pistons, rings, gaskets, head, etc. And he did the clutch while he was at it. It's only gone 5k miles since he did that. So I'm lucky I haven't had to do anything yet.
