My CL55 AMG is currently on it's second set of tires in the last year, and I only live 5 miles away from my office.

In December, Turkish Airlines handed Sandy Valdivieso and her husband Triet Vo for LAX to IST (Istanbul) to DAC. When they booked their tickets they had no idea that DAC wasn't the three-letter airport code for Dakar, but rather Dhaka in Bangladesh.

Today’s 1992 500E however, is not your ordinary hot mess of a hot Benz. Claimed to have been the recipient of a $240K infusion of awesome, this car now rocks a RENNTech-engineered M119, which is supposedly good for a healthy 465-bhp and 500 ft-lbs of twist.

Nice NP/CP selection. I voted NP and being a Mercedes owner, may by why I'm partial to this car. Too bad the details as to what was done for that $$$ were left out. I did find them in erlkgrad's link though...

So, instead of replacing one lost key, they're happier replacing two lost keys? That makes sense how?

The last time I ever used a valet was while on a date in downtown San Diego. We were at the stand waiting for my car to come back when a cop approached me and asked if I was "john whatever". I told her no and we continued to wait for my car. My date decides to ask the Officer, "Why, what's the problem?" The Officer

The tires aren't rated for anything over 258 mph. So, for them to knowingly allow the car to go faster than the tire manufacturer says is allowed, opens the doors for some serious liability issues.

I wonder if the injectors were ever replaced as per the recall. Or else, you my find the beauty doing a Ferrari impression in your driveway one day.

Rumor has it that this was all "part of the show". I showed this to a friend of mine who's been drifting 240's for 5-6 years (maybe longer). He's gone from using it as a DD for a 90 mile/day commute to partial sponsorship and weekly track days. Anyhow, he says he knows the guys that did this. I'm trying to get more

Surprised the Audi R8 hasn't been suggested yet.

Like window tint, it's State specific.

+1

No, you're not.

20MPG @70MPH from an "economy minded" engine? All of a sudden I don't feel so bad getting 21MPG @75MPH from my 5.5L AMG motor.

They'll probably consider AM/FM radio a costly upgrade the same way a simple ash tray and cigarette lighter are now.

Yes, a very old video. The car doesn't even look like this anymore. Get that swap of yours going before you sell your Z and regret it like I did...

Definitely CP when yo consider the number of newer (by as much as 8 years) E55 AMG's out there with half the mileage and the capability of being tuned to well over 500hp.

Here's an example of a VERY WELL done swap.

Like the old Motorolla in my MB that I can't have activated without going with another carrier with horrible service in my area? You'd think GM would have learned from the mistake Mercedes made 10 years ago.
