You mean her throat.

I'm in love with this new AC, but I have to wonder if Ubi is doing this because they want to. That's when quality differs. They seem to love the new world they're making, unlike ACIII, where they just kind of seemed to go through the motions. Sure, I liked it, but there wasn't heart.

Indeed. None of them have been genuinely bad games at ALL. Sure, they haven't all exactly been GOTY contenders, but there isn't a bad apple in the bunch. Some are worse than others for sure (AC3 was the egregious offender for me in that regard), but none of the series' entries are objectively bad.

Do you skip cut scenes? Everything in that mission is explained, as you're only supposed to find out the location of Braddock's next move, which is on the march to Fort Duquesne.

The purpose was to find out what the plan is, hence the eavesdrop and collecting the map. The cannons are an optional objective only.

No

I liked 1. I adored 2. Brotherhood was good, but I saw the beginnings of its decline in there and the subsequent entries just went whole hog with it.

Said it before, I'll say it again... the next AC game should be set in 1880's Europe. Not one particular city, but a whole bunch of cities. Paris, London, Prague, Berlin, Barcelona... that's just off the top of my head.

Think about it, you could travel by train to each city (fast travel). You could have side missions

I'm just not wild about the controls, the lack of true stealth (shouldn't an Assassin be stealthy??), the mission design.....
so. yeah. : /

Glad that it hits the right notes for other people, tho!

Eh — I stopped loving them after Brotherhood, but even I have to step in and say that the controls aren't that bad. To an extent, the running about requires a little more finesse from the player than analogous third-person free running action in other games because there are more things to do and ways to interact with

I don't think that's true at all. I think every game, regardless of it's quality is going to disappoint some sector of it's fan base. I think AC3 has been less well received than the juggernaut that was AC2, but overall I fell it was fine, I know alot of people (including myself) who loved it.

I buy them all because I love them, but the last 2 main games really started to demonstrate the fatigue of this franchise. I'll buy 4, but I'm having a hard time being as excited about it.

They don't have any right to be compensated for their performance on the field. The NCAA is saying they don't have a right to be compensated to the use of their likeness (physical appearance, stats on the field, uniform and number) by a third party. In any other media, that's an absurd argument.

Oh. Really?

That sucks.
*goes back to PC*

...Or maybe this is how every one should be.

Meanwhile..

Remove athletics from education. Problem solved. Billions of tax dollars not pissed away on football fields.

Hold up. I'm not necessarily against the idea of a small stipend to have pocket money, but lets not pretend these guys are getting nothing. They are already given free education (which is outrageously expensive these days), free tutors if they need help, a place to live, all the food they can eat (which is substantial

You're missing the implications of the statement by the NCAA rep. They're supposed to be amateurs, and getting paid ruins eligibility. It's a mess because EA couldn't pay them if they wanted to, but the players don't like someone profiting from their likeness. The only way to maintain eligibility and receive

What's ironic is, you were winning the argument on principle, but when you lost your manners, you lost the high road and when illgamerman called you out on it, instead of going back to the friendly debate it was, you trolled even harder.

Well, a lot of that also depends on drivers and the game's optimization. I'm running two GTX 690's and an i7 3770K @ 4.7ghz with 16gb of Ram and I'm only averaging 70fps @ 1980x1020 with everything turned up to Ultra with AA off. I can't run it at triple monitor 6060x1080 without major lag spikes. Whereas I get a

1440p monitors are 2560x1440. There are quite a few no name monitors floating around for cheap.
