Eh, plenty of games have gotten on Steam before Greenlight existed. Its not impossible, its just not easy enough for some people. I'm not saying don't make it easier or more efficient, I'm saying these people need to stop expecting ANYTHING. Because no one owes them ANYTHING, not even Steam, Google or Apple.

I really hate the victim-mentality that seems to define a lot of indie game developers, especially on the topic of Greenlight. They seem to cry and moan about how unfair everything is, yet they knowingly chose to compete in the entertainment industry as an independent. I don't know why they think they are entitled to

Ok, I mean, you're not going to convince me I'm not having a great time. I appreciate your opinion :)

Yeah, but its not just about the powers, its how they feel using them. Being able to jump up into the air, then do my terror-from-above drop onto a flying alien spaceship, then start vehicle-surfing on the top of that spaceship is pretty freaking great. Its all about implementation and use, and the use of powers in

Nope, I've played lots of games with powers before, and IMO, no game has ever done super powers as well as SR4.

Thanks for the reply Stephen, I do like the current layout. To be fair, I like most revamps after a few weeks of getting used to them. I do think the site has improved significantly over the past few years, but I would also be happy to see those revamps become a bit less frequent.

Themepark is a pretty common term in the MMO lexicon, but it is more commonly used when juxtaposed to sandboxes. A themepark MMO relies almost exclusively on developer-made content, like new arenas, warzones, raids, etc. When the developers introduce new content, players can line up and take that ride over and over.

Great question and one that I have asked before, but never have seen answered. I think Mike Fahey is the only MMO reviewer on the Kotaku team and frankly, I think he just lost interest in SWTOR. It is odd, as SWTOR seems to be the 2nd largest and most successful themepark in the west right now (second only to WoW) and

This isn't meant as a complaint, but can you provide any explanation as to why Kotaku/gawker go through so many site redesigns? It really is jarring and takes me a long time to get comfortable with new designs. It seems like this cannot be a positive way of retaining or boosting readership, so I just don't get why it

I know the feeling, Saints Row 4 really killed my GTA5 hype. I don't really care about stealing or driving cars anymore. I mean, I can super-jump across all of SR4, why would I ever want to drive again?

To be fair, this isn't Nintendo getting robbed of a good idea. This is Nintendo seeing what was an inevitability for the future of games and getting their first. I don't think this is a bad thing that other consoles are using the split screen, I also don't think many/any developers are going to make better use of it

Thanks for the info Jason. I am eager to see if the rebalanced combat has anything to do with rebalancing the augmentations. I remember the devs saying they didn't really intend for people to be able to max out as many augs as players were able to, which made the gameplay a bit boring and simple. I'm curious if they

Will the Director's Cut get re-reviewed? It seems like they are very intent on polishing and improving on some of the flaws in DXHR, I am curious if this is going to get a full re-review. I expect most of the game content to be the same, but I would hope they aren't making a director's cut for just a small amount of

Seriously, that is just a silly statement from Jenova. Nintendo has been making those games for 30 years.

Seriously, when he said he likes Blood: The Last Vampire, I nearly shat myself. I feel like Robin Williams is my nerdy soul mate.

I guess I don't understand why you are so willing to be optimistic about hardware that has had years to prove itself and hasn't yet. Like, not even remotely close to proving itself.

Don't worry, it will be better eventually. First, we just need millions of people to buy the Kinect. And then, we just need developers to work with the technology for the next 3 years. And software updates!

I hate to be the drama llama, but that both parties would settle over such contentious accusations makes me think both parties were guilty.

You guys ever have deal-regrets? Specifically, buying a game for super cheap, playing it and realizing it was well worth the full price? I just bought and finished Bioshock Infinite for $11 and I feel bad. The game, specifically the ending, was so freaking great, I feel like I owe Ken Levine more money.

To be fair, I made that comment over a year ago, back when I didn't know as much about this game. Now that I've seen the way combat works, it looks a lot more promising and I am pretty excited to see if they can pull it off.
