I am an Xbox 360 owner and I am buying a PS4. Sony's clear commitment to pro-consumer policies and practices is something I cannot ignore. I was planning on skipping all consoles this gen, but Sony just made me a believer.

Price point is so important. It is one of the major reasons consoles exist in the first place. PS4 being a whopping 100 dollars cheaper is going to mean a lot to families and parents buying their child(ren) presents.

Yeah, I've seen articles and reviews about this game on numerous gaming sites, including here at Kotaku. It definitely got a lot of free and positive publicity, as most reviews I read were happy to cut the game some slack on technical issues because the game is ambitious and relatively successful at what it attempts.

The fact that they have made the decisions they have already demonstrates to me a profound lack of judgement and borderline contempt for the individual consumer. I'm not going to say there is nothing MS can do to win me back, but I don't think I will ever trust this company after seeing their intentions for the Xbone.

This happened to me when ME2 launched, someone was on the Bioware forums telling people that TIM was Miranda's father, and I was furious and disappointed. It was only after I played through the entire game that I realized I had gone unspoilt.
