Yeah, the exception to this for me is Left 4 Dead 2. No matter how many times I run through the same maps, the gameplay is still fun. I don't know why L4D2 is the exception, I imagine it is because of the co-op/versus gameplay design.

It certainly is impressive. But this is my problem with most shooters. The learning curve for the first 2-3 weeks is tremendous fun. Once you get over the learning curve, it basically becomes a series of running around maps you have memorized, jumping and shooting around corners you expect to see enemies at, and…
Uh, I don't think so. Duke Nukem as an entire franchise has never generated the kind of publicity that the ME3 ending controversy did. ME3 ending controversy was a hot topic for months on every single game site. DNF was pretty much the disappointment that everyone expected it to be.
I've thought about their simultaneous retirement too. I think it is sort of sweet to think they graduated together, built the company together and retired together. I imagine the inevitable "the company died when Dr. ___ left" complaints would be made if only one of them retired.
Quick, someone get this man a copy of KOTOR.
There are very few games I ever stop playing because of difficulty. Usually I take this as an opportunity or challenge. But I will never forget the Ninja Gaiden game on the Xbox Original. At some point, I was in a chapel fighting some female boss mob. She was terribly difficult and I stopped playing that game forever.
oh lord have mercy, this is something I have been dreaming about since before Skyrim launched. Yes, yes, I must return to Morrowind!
Good god Kojima, is that a rhinestone Foxhound tshirt?
I will probably end up getting this. I am not thrilled with the look of it, but I loved MG Ac!d. I wish they would just make an MG Ac!d 3.
I used to play KOTOR in front of friends who had no idea what an RPG was. They used to call it "The talking game" which I suppose is an accurate assessment if you've never seen interactive dialog before.
Yup, I can't wait for this. I am also hoping for some more Collectors.
Decent specs, nothing great but it will suffice for Nintendo games for the next 5 years.
Why is it insane? You are buying a proprietary tablet at launch retail price. That is not surprising to me.
lol, I think I offended some white knight stoners. God forbid I have some standards and expectations for a guy with a graduate degree writing on one of the most popular game sites on the web. Put the pipe down and step your journalism up.
I think you meant to reply to me. Like I said, I don't care about the substance at all, I think it is less harmful than alcohol. What I have a problem with is a professional with a graduate degree trying to self-project an identity. Its juvenile and shallow and has zero relevance to the article at hand.
Really? This guy starts his article by telling people about his weed use? I don't have a problem with the use itself, but those people who feel the need to tell others about it. Guess what, no one cares but you. It stopped being cool in high school.
Yeah, Rising is something I could care less about. Now I would care a lot more if it were a demo for Ground Zeroes.
Yeah, you make a good point. Since I haven't visited the series since 3, it will probably feel like a radically new entry into the series. Hmm, now I am thinking about 4. Good job :D
