Not to get into platform war, but don't all metrics pretty much show Xbox has been dominating the console sales war for the past 12-24 months? As for game units, again, doesn't the Xbox sell more game boxes than PS3 in the west? I know Sony is a much more popular company in asia, but it seems like in terms of the

No, all exclusivity deals are entirely Anti-consumer. They only benefit the platform parent company. The different types of exclusivity deals are varying degrees of anti-consumer, but it is all shitty business practices that customer's shouldn't be so eager to lap up.

It appears this post has been removed and sent to the void. Oh well :D

Just testing a comment

Not to be rude Brian, but aren't there giant billion dollar game companies and publishers in Asia? I feel like we hear all about the Japanese companies, but virtually nothing about the Chinese game industry. Wouldn't that be material worth covering, that doesn't seem to get much coverage at all in the west? I would

Seriously, this has nothing to do with anything at all, ever. This is just weird news from an asian country.

In my opinion, the problem isn't with the size of any company, it is with the owners. If the company is a publicly shared company, then the executives answer directly to share-holders. These share-holders are the people who tell Iwata to start making cell phones, Zelda games on Xbox, and other bullshit ideas to make

It really is weird to see how little Capcom cares about the Megaman franchise. I mean, even companies that blatantly milk their franchises for money still pretend to care about the franchises. Even Activision pretends to care about Call of Duty. I think there is some personal animosity in Capcom's ranks towards the

Can't wait to see how this game turns out. Hopefully indies will be able to rely on Kickstarter and crowdfunding permanently. I personally think the Clang model is the best. Find a way to work on a project for about a year, create the prototypes and then go to Kickstarter and show people what you are already capable

To be fair, if you want to have any rhetorical high ground in a discussion, you can never admit or promote piracy. No matter how shitty a company is, there is no justification for taking something without paying for it. Your options as a consumer are to buy the product or to not buy the product, you don't get to use

Seriously, Ubisoft makes some good games, but their business and DRM practices are garbage. They live in a fantasy land if they think they will save or make more money not releasing their games on PC. How many years of Steam's record breaking sales and profits have to pass before Ubisoft learns how to make and sell PC

Yeah, I like it. The era of gaudy and flashy logos is over. Long live classy minimalism.

Well, specifically, she used good and evil to advance her own goals. Her behavior and actions were all about her own (evil) goals, so yeah, she was evil. But not the traditional evil for the sake of evil, she was manipulative enough to behave in whichever way best suited her goals.

Yeah, but she was so well written! She has so many great lines of dialog and insight into the SW universe. She is so awesomely grey too. I remember her scolding me for being nice, so then I was mean, then she scolded me for being mean. She was such a great grey character who didn't adhere to the confines of

Absolutely. The game felt a lot darker and more urgent than most Star Wars plots. The notion of the death of the force, and subsequently, everything the force touches was really daunting. I love that plot arc. And yeah, learning about Kreia and Atton and Mandalore, etc. So many good characters and stories.

Yeah, and I think that is totally cool. I don't hate on physical formats (much) but I think the future of games is going to be an offering of both physical and digital options. So while physical fans have had 30 years to embrace their boxes, digital fans are still waiting for their preferred format. I don't think

That is a very good price for a physical format, I can't knock that. But yeah, in general, I am done with physical formats. I will buy exclusively digital whenever it is an option.

Ok, now that the PC version is done, hurry up and bring this game to Xbox Live Games on Demand. I want to play a digital version damnit, I'm so sick of physical dinosaur formats.

You guys do realize Kotaku is not a person, right? Kotaku is a team of people with differing opinions.

I won't tell you how it is accounted for, but it is accounted for!
