Yeah, the only exception is that they're definitely calling the title of her comicbook "THOR", which is probably extra confusing. :) The reason for this is obviously sales — they can't call it "Blonde Chick with Hammer" haha.

Sure she can call herself Thor, but she has her own name too. Once we figure out who she is, I'm sure some people will call her by that name.

Part of that might be because English isn't his first language. I think I'd probably act the same way if you asked me to interview in a language I wasn't comfortable with.

Anybody old enough to remember Adventures in Babysitting? The adorable girl in that movie was the biggest fan of Thor ever! She wore a Thor helmet through the entire movie! She's the reason why I've never forgotten that movie (plus Elizabeth Shue).

They didn't turn a male into a female. Thor is the name of a person, not a superhero alias. He's still around. He's still Odin's son. And like others have mentioned, Thor will likely become worthy of Mjolnir again and retake the mantle of God of Thunder in the future.

I think you're a little confused. Thor isn't the name of a superhero the same way "Superman" or "Spider-Man" is... it's the name of an actual DUDE. His name IS Thor. He doesn't have an alter-ego, he's Thor! So Thor did something to become unworthy of holding Mjolnir, so that's why he can't use the hammer anymore.

This movie is guaranteed to pass the Bechdel test. Maybe there won't be a male character in the movie at all. That would make this movie pass an even stricter test, an extremely rare one. :)
