As much as I enjoy Kotakus reporting, it says right int he youtube description:

Luke, I find it almost dishonest that you’re trying to pass this for a chinese knockoff when it’s actually PUBG with a different name for bureaucratic reasons. It’s not a knockoff.

It’s like saying resident evil is a biohazard knockoff.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but we have an enormous body of civil rights laws that disagree with you.

“Game For Peace is so similar to PUBG, in fact, that players noticed after the change that they retained the same level they’d previously held”

I mean Tencent was under agreement to publish the official version (it looks like they do all the official mobile versions anyway) and this was what they had to do to evade Chinese government censorship so as long as PUBG corp / Bluehole gets their money they're probably gonna let it ride. I think Tencent also handled

As backwards as China’s censorship laws are atleast theirs are clearly defined and enforced unlike a certain Japanese but not really platform holder.

When my Mom was in ICU last year, whenever they had to go those cognition checks when she woke up, her answer was “Is it still fucking Trump?” After she had been semi awake for a few days, explaining the summit with North Korea was super fun!

Yikes good to see some nice ol’ xenophobia in Kotaku chat.

Willing to bet neither of you even play EVE. Russians and almost all nationalities are perfectly fine these days. No different from any Western player.

Not to get all serious in a Funbag comment section, but when reading the letter from the soon-to-be-father: the reality is that the world is better today than it ever has been before. Not a little better, either; it’s a hugely, wildly, amazingly better place than it has ever been before.

What? You weren’t happy with that incredibly ham fisted and pandering shot of literally every single female hero posing together awkwardly? The height of feminism, tbh. Mwah!

I know that I have a different perspective on this, and am not here to minimize a person’s feelings on the matter, but this hostility feels misplaced. Endgame was here to serve as a conclusion to a narrative arc, not to build up new characters. The hostility should be in the fact that Marvel hasn’t done enough

Pikachu looks good

No wonder LeBron got rid of Walton, he’s clearly a Kobe guy.

“Don’t use force, Luke”

to discuss a forward Walton wrote for a book

Was it under 1000 words (a small foreword) or over (power foreword)?

I’ve heard about this effort off and on for a couple years now and I just don’t get it. The game was bad on every level from the story to the gameplay to the graphics to the level design. The house collapsed because the foundation was bad: don’t waste time building another house on the same foundation.

I have already said this elsewhere, but IF they do not label these reviews as “off topic” and rebalance the metric accordingly, then they are hypocrites.

It would truly mean they are only trying to silence negative PR instead of trying to eliminate “off topic” reviews.
