Depends on who they're hiring. I haven't looked for specifics...completely speculating here. I'm basing my speculation on the fact that Apple has never been good (or maybe truly interested in) developing back-end systems. Servers, networks, cloud services. They either fail at it or don't do it. Take iTunes. It's

Yeah but none of those ECU companies is as good as Apple at Human-Machine-Interface (HMI). The things that Tesla did, completely off the reservation as far as the car interior is concerned...it takes a non-auto company, sometimes, to do something like that.

I doubt it. Apple doesn't do back office stuff. This is either a car, or more likely, ECUs and accessories/displays/car stereos.

I don't see it. Apple sucks at the back end and there's already fifty competitors way ahead of them in the space. This makes more sense if they're either making cars or making an ECU/accessories division.

I made a joke to a friend yesterday about this. The iCar will only allow two speeds, slow and not-slow-ish. It will either drive straight or make 90 degree turns. No curves.

If it floats, flies for fornicates...rent it.

This is the best ad for Tesla I've ever seen.

Has your bridge been bought by a strange foreign investment company recently? Municipalities have been making a lot of short term gains by selling off tollway assets to private companies in the last few years...and significant long term revenue losses by doing so.

/DRIVE works when you've got a network to sponsor the program...like Youtube did. Now you need to go to Netflix or Amazon Instant Video with your show. Both are pumping out a lot of original fiction work...but I'll bet there's some space for a non-fiction magazine show. HBO would be a good option too, the way they

Still more than the car. ;-)

No, this:

That could be interesting though...cars required to be unmodified from the factory...then the car companies compete against each other and the racing teams are all on similar platforms. It'd be like old school Le Mans...which factory comes out with the best hypercars?

Most expensive racing series in the world...er...outside of F1 and WEC and NASCAR and jeezus, yeah...it's probably more expensive than late model dirt track racing. Yes, this is a good idea.

Am I the only person that thinks that once you put the engine behind the driver in a Corvette that it is...no longer a Corvette? Eff this.

Is it a ro-ro?

I can only assume that there's a manual mode and flappy paddles for the auto so that you'd be choosing your own gears on the track and still shifting faster than you could in the manual.

This and this some more.

Aye, this was a case of stupid, not mechanical. Extreme stupid. Could have wrecked near that whole town. Who knows what's being carried in those tanker cars. When I asked once at a chemical plant I worked at what was in the tanks, fire or cancer? and the head maintenance guy looks at me and gruffly half-shouts

...and the cops will continue to break the law and steal your money.

Fuck that shit. Checking for insurance and papers isn't that big of a deal? We live in such a police state that you can't recognize a shakedown when you see one? That's all these things are...shakedown for money. If this was a DUI stop just outside the neighborhood with all the bars...different story. This is
