Yeah...driving in the *opposite* direction....<cringe>.

Each to his own, I suppose. :-) I like the noise.

Out of curiosity...have you ever stood next to a race car having it's motor revved? A "race car", at a track...not somebody's tuned Aston. Ever heard the doppler effect of a Le Mans car or an IndyCar flying down a straight at 160mph while you're standing 20 feet off the track?

I'd rather have that story than an autograph.

Can we maybe get away from the danger-porn and start talking about cars again, Jalop? It's been two weeks of asshat rally spectators and this. I'd like to see more videos that don't make me cringe please.

I'm 5' 6" on a good day and I've had flights with a seat in my face as well. If I'm on a plane and there is someone behind me...I basically put my seat back as little as it will go...maybe 1" tops...just to give me that slight feeling that I've taken just a tiny bit of space, but not all of it. Enough to notice the

Rich, no, but something like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will probably take notice.

No doubt...trying to find the link about restrictor plate cheating I'm thinking of. Things like making parts a few thousands out of tolerance so air would leak in...or making carburator parts out of porous metal so air could get through. Cheaters in racing come up with some really ingenious shit.

Clarification...the car from the original post, not the one you linked...that looks gorgeous.

Just looks like something on the lens to me.

Yeah, pretty much a waste of a good Ghia body, that car.

You know what...one can probably point to a lot of things done at Corvette Racing to inspire the development of the C7. I'm not sure how closely related the team and developers are...but I'd be kinda shocked if they weren't. They had a C7 with the body off of it at the Baltimore Grand Prix...absolutely brilliant

AND it gets good gas mileage. Well, it *can* get good gas mileage...

I think it might be the best vehicle GM has *ever* built...but time will tell.

Here's a better one than the last I post which somebody had beat me too anyway:

Tempo/Topaz

I was just talking about this with some guys at work the other day...Escorts used to be *EVERYWHERE*. You couldn't go out-of-doors without tripping over one...and then one day in 2007...*poof*...all gone.

I'd have put a screwdriver through that the day after I bought it.

Damn Boxer_4...that Cav...is it a Cavalier? The pin-stripes are throwing me off...but it looks fantastic. (or at least in fantastic condition)

The music would have been good had they matched it well to the sound of the engine, but I suspect that would be quite difficult.
