Unlocking the Sky (http://www.amazon.com/Unlocking-Sky-…) is a fantastic book about the Wright brothers and their trollish behavior. Invented the airplane, then tried to keep everyone else from making it work. They stopped innovating the day of their first flight.

Who cares if it was safe. The governor and his cronies are not above the law. The abuse of station should be cause for impeachment and jail time.

And then have the guy arrested for fraud when it doesn't work.

I haven't had the motivation to dig into it very deeply...I expect there's probably a community for it I should check out. I think the most difficult thing is to properly set up a vehicle profile...and there's probably a lot of folks out there that have already tweaked theirs. It would be nice to be able to download

Torque is freaking brilliant. I have a 7" tablet that I can use to put up my virtual dash. Having a dial for whatever sensor on my car....love it. It'll tell you your engine codes too, and give you a search link to look them up on the internet. Good stuff. Don't forget your $20 bluetooth-obd2 adapter from Amazon

I told a buddy that a perfect vacation would be to rent a couple of these for two weeks and drive around England. That'd give us about 3 track days and 11 days sitting in the pub, waiting for rain to clear:

This isn't a safety issue. They're not looking for impaired drivers. They're looking for a payday. There's nothing wrong with DUI arrests, and had this been for DUI...which doesn't have to mean alcohol...you can get a DUI if you're stoned/high. They're perfectly allowed to search your car if you're arrested for

What I mean about the money is they have economic incentive to make as many arrests of a certain kind as they can. What happens when you do stuff like this as a society is that the police cheat or game the system to get more reward. It almost guarantees that the system will be cheated. So they break laws in order

What's the problem? You're the problem. You've got this attitude that the police should have carte blanche when it comes to their behavior. The *Supreme Court* said that this crap wasn't kosher and what do they do? Make a loophole. Let's see how far we can bend the rules.

The man wants you to pay his taxen.

I think the kicker on this one is whether or not they "planned" to export the cars, whether or not they were "used". From what I understand from some of the factory pick-up-your-car-directly-from-BMW type of things, the car is "used" as soon as you drive it off the lot, and therefore subject to different

Good friend of mine owned the Festiva of Near Death. This car was not thrashed, but certainly abused. Lasted forever, brilliant little toy vehicle.

From ESPN:

Look at Danica's record over the years. She's not a race car driver just because she looks good.

I was actually sad that she left the IndyCar circuit. Got into racing at the inaugural Baltimore GP...there was a lot of buzz, made the weekend more interesting.

Took me a bit to grok the sarcasm, great post. Danica doesn't get a ton of wins, but she hangs around in the top 10 a *lot*. That ain't easy.

I think Seinfeld has a Boxster for every day of the week. I'll bet he does.

From the picture I'm assuming that the can lids weren't secured very well...but, say they were. That's some fairly violent force throwing around what amounts to probably a coupla hundred pounds of paint.
