I don't think that's the point of the article. I thought the point of the article was that this wonderful NYT writer now thinks braids are culturally relevant because they're on white people's pinterest boards and not because people, not just whites, have been braiding their hair for as long as there has been hair.…
This makes me hate the game industry in more ways than one.

The best part about this is that they're getting away with banning hairstyles that are either (1) the natural state of a black person's hair or (2) as close to natural as we've worn it in a long time.
I don't have to get past "acting" or not acting my race, it's not something that exists. It's not my fault if you or anyone else expects me to act in accordance with their concepts of my ethnicity. People should act like themselves. They should also stop using "acting black" or "acting white".
I know you "hate" using the terms "acting black" or "acting white", but do me a favor and just never use it again.
