@Hearthatvoiceagain says Andy has arrived: This sort of thing is used in a pretty straight forward fashion. I know there is a site in Spain that has that idea. Here's a picture of such a site:

@bitchincamaro: Because it's just far enough away from the focal point to not get totally roasted. For anything to get properly cooked it really does need to be precisely placed on something like this.

@buckleyneko: Vertical axis turbines are generally considered to be for show more than anything else. There's a good reason that you don't see 2 MW versions of these things; they just aren't efficient in the winds and power ranges that are useful for good wind power capture.

@cyruss: I'd agree that a real life version of this car wouldn't perform as well, but I'd be willing to say that would most likely be because the driver wouldn't be able to handle the car.

For all those talking about how this is going to be playing PSP games, I think we can probably rule that out.

@ripfire: Assuming they do go at 9.8 m/s^2 acceleration it would take less than a year to get up to full speed of light so I'm thinking they'd be fine to use most of a year to speed up and most of another year to slow down.

@muptup: Yeah, I had originally been pointed to it from XDA-Developers forums and pretty happy I found it. I hope it works out for you as well :D

@muptup: SE Xperia X10 running 1.6 here and I've been using Helix for a long while. I tried ADW for a few days but found that it just ran horrible on this phone (slow, unresponsive, and didn't have some of the features I had come to like with Helix).

@TimOzcelik: Yeah, that bit of news, if found to provable, would certainly put a huge dent in this statement :

@Gen. Hospital: Using known-age objects to validate the C-14 dating method only works for relatively recent history. As Tquicksell suggests, it's possible that some event in Earth's(or even our solar system's) history could throw a monkey wrench into accurate radiometric dating of anything of a significant age (i.e.,

Am I the only one who winced when they destroyed that GTO Judge??

@post_modem: Agreed, I definitely picked up on this as an Aliens moment. I'd say this fits much better than some mining ship or anything like that.

@SBM_from_LA: Interesting about the LEDs I haven't heard of any issues until you mentioned it and, fortunately, my pod is working just as well now as on day 1. Hopefully it continues to do so.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned these speakers from logitech yet. The Z-5500 is pretty nice set of speakers for the price plus the control unit accepts optical, digital coax plus up to 3 analog stereo inputs. Tough to beat that kind of ability without going to a full bore 5.1 system.

@Bayesian: Once it's been seen it can't be Unseen!! GAHHH!

@sheepdeshinya: Likely has a lot to do with the amount and type of data that the Move is putting out vs what the Wiimote can do. Or possibly it's just a hardware limitation on the processing side that leaves the Wii out as well.

@mr.mo.ali: That was a remarkably enlightening video. Thanks for sharing. Definitely agree with the main premises there; namely that working because you're in control/you want to get better at something/or you believe it's helpful to more than just yourself are great motivators!

Nice, works well on Xperia X10. Thanks!

@My Little Metroid: LOL, I find it funny that you recommend a $2k mac over picking up a $300 360...I smell a Mac fanboy over here ;)

@deanbmmv: Not every Mac runs the Intel core, many run PowerPC cores which, low and behold, are very similar to the Cell. As such Valve is going to have to properly support a hardware architecture that Is a fair bit different from the PC in order to convincingly say that they support Macs (unless of course they are
