Don't forget that fog typically results in a loss of contrast in what you are seeing. Typically, this results in you believing that you are actually going slower than your brain normally perceives that speed.

I would be stoked to see a Gawker website dedicated to mountain biking itself. So much awesome stuff happens when two knobby tires and no motor are properly used.

72ft? Pfffttt... Cam Zink did a backflip down a 78ft. step-down during the same contest. His just didn't have the same coverage because of the GoPro view with McGrarry.

Sorry but your ignorance is showing here. Teams get disqualified when they don't have enough fuel left in the car after qualifying. Despite that there have been drivers who haven't had the required amount of fuel left after qualifying each year for the past few years. It happens because that's how critical weight

The problem is that the new V6 turbo engines weigh a bit more than the engines they're replacing, but the FIA hasn't upped the minimum weight limit on an F1 car. Thus there's less of a need for ballast, and the team with the lighter driver will have a lighter car overall, and less weight translates into real time

No, you cannot. That's completely different. That stuff directly influences their ability to perform in those sports. Height is key in basketball, lung capacity is key in swimming. Height in F1 hasn't been an issue until now. It is because of these new regulations that it has become a problem. Which is ridiculous.

To be totally honest, I have no problem with F1's new regulations whatsoever. If your team can't make the minimum weight, that's not the worst thing in the world as it's not like you'll be barred from racing like you would if you went over the maximum weight. You'll just have to find the way to make up the time

I'd much rather have talented drivers driving cars that are a few Kgs heavier, than a less talented driver driving a lighter car. This article is absurd. Not to mention it misses the whole point of how ballast is used to affect weight distribution and the balance of the car.

I agree completely with what Nigel says. Come on, it's not like Hulkenburg can help it. Just because he's taller doesn't mean he should be disadvantaged. Performance should be about the driver's talent, not how about how much they weigh.

Now, is this uncle relationship true, or is the cop making it up as he goes?

No, I laugh at it hard. But, I was in drumline and the marching band...

I agree. I have read so many articles on building confidence, but they all seem like those late night infomercials, ala buy this now and increase whatever, you lose without it and it seems to me alot of confidence articles or exercises are built towards the extroverted folks, and the introverts get left out in the

Confidence isn't knowing. Confidence is believing. I know a lot of confident people who have no competence. Doesn't stop them from living in their self inflated bubble.

"The Mil Spec H1 Hummer only made it to third after it became bogged down on it's 247th bike. The wildcat came in second with 275 bikes, but we would like to note it completed its run 22 seconds faster than any other vehicle."

psst... your trunk is too far away
