“...so you’d be forgiven for completely ignoring it.”
Ugh, yeah - probably true.
It wasn’t my story, I swear. I looked on google for the whole thing but couldn’t find it. It was a pretty extended story, and the guy asked the parents several times to deal with it, which they didn’t and they finally told the person, “you deal with it.” So he did.
You should have finished that story with “She slipped me a twenty and gave me a wink as they deplaned.”
Wasn’t there a story floating around about a set of parents who wouldn’t deal with their unruly, young child on a plane, so the person who was being annoyed told the kid that Santa wasn’t real, had never been real, and that his parents had been lying to him about it.
From the device page:
“If the iOS device you are unlocking has the “Erase Data After Ten Failed Passcode Attempts ” feature activated, the device will be wiped after the IP Box reaches 10 password attempts.”
I think the FTC should require that any product sold in the US which provides a runtime should be required to include a 100% capacity / maximum brightness in addition to any optimized runtime. Sort of a City/Highway number.
What do you think I do at my job? The TPS covers go on and then it’s just 12 hours of looking busy. Of course, that’s in busy season when we’re in mandatory overtime to get all the reports done. Otherwise I only have about 7:45h a day to surf. Well, 7:30h if you don’t count the dump I take on company time.

Blended limes with simple syrup is really just some ice and a couple of shots of rum away from a killer daiquiri.
For you girlfriend? Yeah, from a practical perspective. But let’s face it, if you’re a guy and you know where she is in her cycle, you also know when to expect the crazy sex goddess to emerge. Never underestimate the ability to know when you should skip bowling night. ;-)
This an office manager’s nightmare
You know, this may sound odd, but I’d set him up with a house, a nice car, and a trust fund that pays him about $100k a year. It would be (one of ) my gift(s) to my parents. ;-)
I’m pretty sure that was what Jerry Lewis did when he “made it”.
Happier is actually a side effect of the reduced stress. I paid off everything about 5 years ago. It’s a good goal, and worth living simpler.
HA - what am I saying? Now that I don’t have a mortgage, I have money every month to blow on shit I don’t need - and that makes me immensely happy!
Seriously. With that much lettuce there’s no need to go looking for growth investments. Cash is probably the most stable. Everything has it’s dangers, but if you were to lose 90% of the money from this Powerball to inflation or destabilization in the US Currency, you’d have a bank account balance that looks like a…
You know, I suspect more than 70% of people are miserable most of the time anyway. Having a 70% misery rate for lottery winners seems like beating the odds at misery, too.
In their defense, it would be nice it they bothered to actually note that on the PreCheck placards. The first two times I went through it wasn’t clear if it was a “we’re not checking closely today” or a standard (some Airports have them, others - esp smaller ones - don’t). Of course now I just slap that carry-on on…
Well, for $450, you get 100k miles (Well, not really miles - Amex Reward points which are only good for 1c each in the best of scenerios). Though it’s not good for the milage game, you can get up to two extra cards. Each person can get reimbursed for up to $100 for GOES/Global Entry or PreCheck applications. Plus, the…
