I think the idea is that regardless of sex drive, the brain still takes a vital few instants to process "wait, is the woman attacking me dressed like a hook - OH SWEET BUDDHA MY UVULA".

I do like the fact that her hair is canonically purple. It's not just stylization, she literally has the hair color of an art student.

Also, as I recall, the 'Blade would actually shift to address threats. Like the time Sara was shot in the head, and it instantly formed a helmet, only leaving Sara's contemptuous glare visible.

I never thought about it, but they managed to make outfits that are even more ridiculous than the ones in the original comic. I'm impressed.

Considering the difference between a gimmick and a good idea is usually just the opinion of the person talking about it....

What I like about this series is how Sanderson just sets up what appear to be the Rules, and then just keeps driving a truck through them in ways that were fairly foreshadowed from the start.

There's a serious question as to whether either Borden is any less real than the other. He might be transported, with a duplicate being left at the source, or he might be left in place, with the dupe appearing elsewhere.
