Hey! Asian girls can also be hyper sexualized. That's two stereotypes! What more could you ask for?

I was just going to post something like that. The Box is NOT a sex club. Used to frequent it in college. It's just an over priced bar where rich 20-somethings can pay to see tame versions of things that actually happened in the LES 30 years ago. It's just a bunch of models, coke, and fake piss (literally, that was one

To me it wasn't as much of an issue that she was wrong, more of "don't bite the hand that feeds you." Knocked Up put her on the map as a film actress and then she talked shit about it. If she had issues with the role she shouldn't have taken it. Add this to what she did with Grey's (same thing). I wouldn't want to

I'm still mourning Happy Endings. Also, Trophy Wife was canceled. Really underrated show.

I don't understand this at all. I'm in that age group (20-25), but I was lucky to find a job before I graduated and haven't lived at home full-time since high school. If I lived at home with my parents, I'd be taking on more of the housework bc I'd be happy they let me live there (presumably for free or a reduced

Yeah. I actually didn't know that companies legally had to pay the difference if you weren't making minimum wage until I left food service. I don't think many waiters know about it and companies don't want to advertise it. I'm sure it's a bit different working for a larger company. I was always at mom and pop places,

Well the back of the house always gets screwed and frequently doesn't make a living wage. Front of the house gets a lot of special treatment and (IMO) doesn't work as hard. This will differ between places, but front of the house doesn't have as many side duties and there's normally a larger staff, meaning they can

I've waited tables in Texas and NYC. In Texas I dealt with not making minimum wage a lot more frequently and never saw an extra dime.

I think a lot of the good/great service comes down to timing (making sure all the food comes out in the correct order and at the same time for the table), adjustments (if it's a burger place, then making sure it's cooked how the customer wants it, adjusting a dish based on what the customer does or doesn't want in

Have you ever waited tables? Yes, it's technically the law that employers make up the difference but I've never actually seen it happen.

Yes. Exactly. No place would pay what I averaged an hour (around $30, but some busy Fridays I made easily $100/hour). And I wasn't even at a super upscale place. My average party of 2 spent about $100. When you're at really upscale places, you can grab like $500 in a night, in a 5 hour shift. Waiting tables is a

The ex-waitress in me would hate this. With tips, I made FAR FAR above any minimum wage a restaurant would pay be. Yes, my pay would vary night to night, but I was bringing home bank. (And maybe it's just me, but I probably wouldn't go above and beyond for customers if I wasn't being tipped. Basic, good service yes.

Realizing how horrible I am- also in my old boss's bed. Not with my old boss, but with an old co-worker. He was dog sitting.

And central park. And a balcony of the Chelsea Hotel with an Australian in a rock band who I had just met that night. Whole time I kept thinking- Sid killed Nancy in this hotel!

During college some friends and I decided to wait for SNL tickets. You pretty much have to camp overnight in Rockefeller Center so we decided to get tents. One of the people I went with was by boyfriend at the time. Because I had paid for the tent we decided that we totally had to do it while we were waiting for

Had to ask if you were the only IRL person I've ever met who loves Grease 2 as much as me.

Kelly?

I actually really love this. I am a huge musical fan, but live theater is really expensive (even local productions) and most of the country just doesn't have access to good live theater. While I wished they picked better shows, I love the idea of theater reaching kids who normally wouldn't have access to it.

Grease 2 is truly underrated. The songs are AMAZING.

I kind of wanted the writers to fuck with all of us and have Don kill himself in the first episode.
