Same.

And yet I’d still buy a 4x4 gremlin in a heartbeat.

Gotta consider the cost savings in maintenance and fuel cost over the lifespan of the vehicles. I just read a report that consumer EVs save $8k on average, which just about offsets the extra cost, without the environmental and health savings calculated into that figure. The USPS will no doubt keep these vehicles

The real question is can USPS afford NOT to go electric now that competitors are adopting EVs. USPS trucklets built by “BigDefenseContractorInc” don’t stand a chance against a fleet of Rivian and BrightDrop vans. Rumored Tesla wants to field an entry in this segment around 2025.

It is insane that we think $3 billion over 20 years for a service as essential the Postal System is somehow a lot of spending.

I’m pretty anti-prison, and I want real criminal justice reform, so the idea of an 18 year old being warehoused and incarcerated for four years is not an appealing one to me either.

... and if you’re in a line of 36 pay-it-forwards, nobody except the last guy is getting anything for free. You’re just paying for a different order than your own. That’s not charity. But then I don’t understand the whole Starbucks culture. Sure, I’ll drink their mocha once in awhile, but no over-roasted, overpriced an

The pay it forward thing has always been the dumbest thing imaginable. It’s performative charity for people who don’t need it. Want to feel good? Donate time or money to an actual cause. Or, as this article wisely suggests, tip the workers.

When I was a teenager (back in the very early 80's), a guy I worked with at a full serve gas station had a 304 Gremlemon. He put a 396 BB Chevy in from a Chevelle SS, a 4.11 gear set and a Muncie M-21 four gear bang box. That thing would rip rubber all the way through all four gears with 50 series tires on it. No

When I was 10ish, there were drag racers on TV running Gremlins. The large hood could fit a large engine and compact weight made them pretty darn quick.

I don’t get the hate for that car. I mean, I guess it should have been a full hatchback, but it’s not THAT bad.

If they sold a manual v60 or v90, I would give Volvo all of my money!

That’s just old-school industrial illustration at work. Take one sheet of Canson art paper (blue) and a white pencil, toss in some blank ink pen and a dusting of pastel/chalk and you have a color-matched series of illos. I had a professor who did that exact type of illustration for decades and loved to show just how

If only there was, say, like an off topic yet still somewhat car centric forum for users that was adjacent to a main automotive site. #dontbeanherb

I’ve always thought Colorado had a pretty good plate.

You could probably only get away with it on something period correct, but I still love California’s sunset plate;

Damn Torch.....you had a productive holiday break didn’t you?  What did we do to deserve so much Torch awesomeness to start the year?!

No love for the Cowboy?

Geez, shouldn’t this have gone to a repo company?  CarMommy should be on the hook for falsely reporting a stolen car.

Resisting arrest is such a bullshit charge
