Going off this header image, chrome. I love me some beautiful chrome bumpers, and chrome trim. Cars should shine.

Fuck them. Car size shouldn’t be an arms race. I’m not going to buy a big car as a reaction to other people buying big cars who are then going to buy an even bigger car to counter my big car... They know how to make cars pretty safe now, so I’m going to stay in something small and enjoyable to drive.

The Datsun 620. Best truck ever. Small, cheap, no frills. The Maverick is close, but not close enough.

It took me a while to come around on these, but now I love them. They look better in person. It’s an interesting design that was never aped (maybe for good reason). I want mine in yellow, though.

You can get a nice Montreal for less than that so I don’t know why you wouldn’t. They’re so damn cool.

Yorgos Lanthimos’s film was called Dogtooth, not Dogwood.

The Peel Trident. And, yes, I have sat in one. A bumper car is more comfortable. And has better suspension actually.

The 2CV hammock ones aren’t quite as bad as they look. At least before they’re too worn in. The worst thing about them is the seat back isn’t adjustable. And they do this:

I was thinking the same thing. And I love a lot of Cronenberg. But at first glance this almost looks like someone spoofing him.

A lot of these cars were totally fine for their era. Even the Yugo wasn’t awful. It was just incredibly cheap. And God bless Citroen for continuing to build 2CV’s through the 80's.

The direction isn’t the biggest problem with those movies. It’s the idiotic scripts.

I certainly don’t love season 2, but at least it’s watchable. The first season was a trainwreck right from the get go.

That’s very exciting to hear. Mount, Peck, and Romijn were so surprisingly great on Discovery. Star Trek needs a show that feels like good ol’ Star Trek. I’m willing to call this TOS season 4. The original show was never in chronological order anyway, so no reason why the 4th season can’t concentrate on the pre Kirk

And he somehow completely misunderstood the character and Star Trek in general. I know someone who worked on the show and Chabon didn’t even know what the Borg were. Good writers can churn out shit. It happens all the time and it most certainly happened with Picard season 1.

Pinto panel-wagon. AKA “Cruising Wagon.” Rare and awesome.

Ford Pinto Cruising Wagon. A factory custom 70's van.

I think a middle-aged Peter Parker movie could be interesting. I liked Tobey’s vibe in that last Spider-Man film.

Saw this thing yesterday. I doubt I’ll spot anything cooler over the weekend.

I’ve owned 4 Le Cars. Never had one leave me stranded. Fun little cars.

The Rodley was a British microcar powered by a 750cc air-cooled motor mounted in the rear. Unfortunately, the designers seemed to have missed the “air-cooled” part and forgot to put any kind of ventilation in the engine compartment. So, most, if not all, of the 65 Rodleys built caught fire. Even if they hadn’t it was
