It took me a while to come around on these, but now I love them. They look better in person. It’s an interesting design that was never aped (maybe for good reason). I want mine in yellow, though.

You can get a nice Montreal for less than that so I don’t know why you wouldn’t. They’re so damn cool.

Yorgos Lanthimos’s film was called Dogtooth, not Dogwood.

The Peel Trident. And, yes, I have sat in one. A bumper car is more comfortable. And has better suspension actually.

The 2CV hammock ones aren’t quite as bad as they look. At least before they’re too worn in. The worst thing about them is the seat back isn’t adjustable. And they do this:

A lot of these cars were totally fine for their era. Even the Yugo wasn’t awful. It was just incredibly cheap. And God bless Citroen for continuing to build 2CV’s through the 80's.

The direction isn’t the biggest problem with those movies. It’s the idiotic scripts.

Pinto panel-wagon. AKA “Cruising Wagon.” Rare and awesome.

Ford Pinto Cruising Wagon. A factory custom 70's van.

Saw this thing yesterday. I doubt I’ll spot anything cooler over the weekend.

I’ve owned 4 Le Cars. Never had one leave me stranded. Fun little cars.

The Rodley was a British microcar powered by a 750cc air-cooled motor mounted in the rear. Unfortunately, the designers seemed to have missed the “air-cooled” part and forgot to put any kind of ventilation in the engine compartment. So, most, if not all, of the 65 Rodleys built caught fire. Even if they hadn’t it was

Built in Wisconsin. The ones made in Europe were actually ok.

And the NX2000 is one of the most underrated cars of its time. Also an absolute hoot to drive, but in a completely different way than the Vespa.

That’s actually a very good deal on that little Vespa. They’re extremely hard to find. They’re also a really pleasant thing to drive. Obviously not quick, but you don’t want to be going quick in something that small. It has, no joke, the smoothest shifting gearbox I’ve ever experienced.

During WWII several Bugatti works drivers including Robert Benoist and Jean-Pierre Wimille joined the French resistance and created a sabotage cell led by British racing driver William Grover-Williams. It’s an incredible story. Wimille’s wife, a competitive skier, was also involved. Benoist once had to leap from a

It’s not an exhausting task, but I shouldn’t have to turn the damn car all the way on is what I’m saying. The old one click of the key is a better system.

I agree with all of these, but I’m old, so...

With these damn push button starters I have to turn my goddam car all the way on to raise or lower the window. It’s stupid. I appreciate the convenience but crank windows are still good.

I bought a new GLI last summer and I really enjoy driving it. FWD isn’t my favorite thing, but this is a good front wheel drive car. However, it sure isn’t very durable. I do location scouting around L.A., so the car gets a lot of work and already it has an issue restarting when warm, the shifter is beginning to feel
