I rented a Duster in France a few years ago and took it off-road and it was terrific. I fell in love with that car.

That Goggomobil is a good deal, actually. The best selling microcar of all time. They’re fun, snazzy little cars.

I’ve owned 4 of them. You actually don’t know what you’re talking about. They’re terrific little cars and one of the most popular little hatches ever built. Never had any serious issues with mine.

Ce n’est pas vrais.

The guy who designed the 5 had never seen a Golf. This was a revolutionary design.

I had one a few years ago that was my only daily driver. Never let me down.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. They were great little cars. Americans just didn’t know how to take care of them.

One of my favorite cars. I’ve owned 4 and they’ve never let me down. They’re a hoot to drive and were well built for the money.

They were never junk. One of the greatest cheap hatchbacks ever made. Fun to drive, easy to work on if you know what you’re doing. There’s a reason Renault sold millions of them all over the world. They were so popular that when they made a follow-up, it looked almost the same.

What about the cars they hit? I guess we should all drive fucking tanks then since we’re apparently in an arms race. SUV’s should be banned.

I wonder what happened to Gonzo’s Mehari. It’s a quite rare U.S. spec version with the big headlights and eyebrows.

My girlfriend had a mouse called Goggo named after her Goggomobil.

Good to know. I always liked them. Maybe I will import one one day. Someone’s got to do it.

I do not understand how at least half of these are on a list of movies that suck. The French Connection? Seriously? The Love Bug comment I get was a joke, but then why is it here? That’s an all-time great movie and one of the best car movies ever. And anybody who thinks Mad Max is not an awesome movie just doesn’t

Man, I would totally import a Palio Weekend, Nippa, or a Kangoo. Maybe all three. That’s a pretty cool garage of oddballs.

Why? It looks like a cool little car. What about it offends you and what the fuck do you care what someone else is driving?

The lack of special effects and unrealistic speeds is why those old car chases are so good. They were actually doing what you see on the screen.

Old AMC’s or Ramblers are perfect. They’re incredibly simple and mechanical parts are easy to find. It’s hard to screw up the venerable straight six, and it’s nice to know how a carburetor works. They’re also different from your run of the mill classic American car.

I had one that I found in San Bernadino, California. It was a great little car. The flat twin is incredibly durable for a small motor and parts are plentiful and it’s so easy to work on. It’s also an absolute hoot to drive as it has the 2CV suspension. That said, the sedans are much more desirable and this does look

Those are the U.S. spec headlights. They were actually offered in Europe, too, on one of the trim levels. Citroen wasn’t 100% convinced people would like the rectangular lights.
