You are correct. Detectable traces of marijuana are in your system for about 30 days for most casual users. 45-60 days for heavy users.

And because the patriarch is publicly implying he's going after Tony Stewart with a civil suit, any charitable actions have been buried, never to be heard from again.

Nope. Can't do it.
I can't hate someone who speaks common fucking sense.

You'll just have to give up some of your sanity to make it happen.

You are aware that in most states, that refusal to provide an officer requested identification is also a criminal act?
And driving without a valid license on your person is also a criminal act?
And that law enforcement has the duty to insure that these laws are enforced in the name of public safety?

You assume much about their assumptions. I'll let you work that into whatever old adage you choose.

You snuck away and had fun at CotA over the weekend!

When does a traffic stop to check for legal driving requirements for every driver constitute an assumption of criminal activity?

Yes, you do have to show them your license and insurance. This isn't a verification of identity or of criminal activity. It is a verification that you are legal to drive a motor vehicle on a public motorway.

Fair and valid point.
I don't think that a checkpoint for state and/or local law enforcement to verify motorists' license & registration is unreasonable or upset me. I don't feel intruded upon by this action, as the license and insurance are legal requirements to operate a motor vehicle in most states.
At most, I might

I actually did get a ticket on that trip.
I got pulled over for 65 in a 55 in Albuquerque traffic, of all things.

TV station KHOU reports the fire happened around 7:11 a.m. on northbound lanes at Gulf Bank Road, blocking traffic in that direction and slowing traffic on the other side of the road as drivers stopped to stare at the Porsche as it burned.

Uh huh... I see...

Incorrect, although I understand your line of thinking.

When "ifs" and "buts" turn to candy and nuts, we'll all have a merry Christmas.

You, sir, appear to have far too much common sense and rational thinking capability to discuss and debate controversial topics on the internet.

I don't think the officer was "wrong", but he was out of line, definitely. The officer was just as big a dick as the Constitutional obstructionist.

I think a viral video of the issue will do more than any letter you can write.

Sadly, yes.
The logic in the BP agent's mind is that I'm white, therefore it's more likely that I'm a legitimate US Citizen. Or perhaps the logic is flipped and it's less likely that I'm in the country illegally.
