Point taken. Still makes me wonder what kind of parent could ignore signs like that. I really do admire parents - it seems like a full time job requiring great sacrifice of a personal life to do it right and even then it may not turn out ok. Rather depressing.

Maybe they met but didn't get to know each other well, think about your own colleagues, how well do you really know them?

I agree she got it was a joke, but she clearly wrote "....Jon Hamm, who I was just getting to know..." It was brave of him to try that, he must just be good at reading the room

Now playing

Its utter B.S. that people feel relieved that there is an "explanation" for their behavior, looking for excuses. If these weren't two white girls, but people of color - there would be no search for excuses. Personally, I don't buy their excuse, what are the odds two unrelated 12 yr olds are that mentally disturbed or

They are sympathizing because they are white girls - the media and the world loves them and hates to see anything bad happen to them. I guarantee you it will come out that they were honor students, "good" kids at heart, etc. If they were brown, black, whatever - there would be no sympathy.

seriously? you're referencing Batman? ok, I'll play - he lets the Joker live time and again - and the Joker brutally murders over and over. Some people are mentally ill, if they commit a murder, rape, kidnap, etc - they are likely going to do it again and don't deserve to be released into society to get another chance

They left a girl to bleed out slowly and die alone and scared - I truly don't care if the would be killers despise the world, they forfeited any right when they CHOSE to do this and rob someone of their future. They are two white girls so all the excuses in the world will come flying out to spare them, but I for one

sure, and when they get out they can live next to you and your kids - good luck with that

sorry, when I was 12 I knew stabbing someone was wrong, murder was wrong - maybe your kid isn't that bright - there is grade inflation, maybe the honor roll isn't something to brag about

yes, yes it does - if tried as juveniles and get out 25, let them move in next to you and your kids

They sell those at Walmart and Amazon as well - its where I get mine. Kimchi flavor is by far the best and those noodles are excellent, add a fried egg and you have a delicious protein packed meal.

sure, pretty much all news outlets run on hunches - CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, etc. Besides most people only want to hear what validates their preexisting opinion. The same applies to the Gawker family of websites.

Those are tangy and tasty - but definitely not spicy. Interestingly, Nongshim Kimchi Noodle Bowls taste exactly like Flaming Hot Cheetos only its actually mildly spicy.

what?! I hope you're making that up or I just feel bad. I suppose a lot of "All American" food is pretty bland and if raised on that diet, its possible. I know whenever I would eat a "spicy" chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A or whatever I would always wonder where the spice was, while the white guys were "WOW - SO

that is hilarious - Sara Lee, no wonder.

I think you could apply that gif to pretty much every other article on Jalopnik, Gawker, Kotaku, etc

It's all relative - I grew up with an Indian mother who knew how to cook - all with many spices, but I was born and raised in America where most of the food is bland. Its why I think its hilarious when my white friends find Tabasco spicy, though I've never heard anyone complain of black pepper before.

eh, I love steam - I actually play the games I buy. My biggest thrill was buying LIMBO for $2.99.

I'm no fan of Taco Bell, but why not try the actual product first before condemning it? Or solicit the opinions of Dallas residents.

They also think Tabasco sauce is "spicy".
