Yeah, that’s the sort of change to be expected when the fan models get redesigned by LEGO. Every LEGO IDEAS set produced is at least slightly different from the version submitted, either because of piece type, piece count, or building technique. But the results are still recognizably the set that people voted for.

So they brought Picard back from the dead practically the same way they brought Professor X back from the dead.

The set’s cool, but it bears very little resemblance to the LEGO IDEAS set that was submitted. I know all the IDEAS sets that have been released vary a bit from the build that was submitted, but this is drastically different.
