I am starring this because I played the Wii version back when that was the only system I had. I really loved it. Sure, I'd heard the Wii version made using guns way too easy, because zombies always dropped plenty of ammo, and yeah there was no photo taking mode, and yeah, the zombie "pop in" was pretty atrocious, but

The funniest thing is how just re-skinning Donkey Kong looks like it makes for more fun (and in a bizarre way more faithful) movie games compared to those that had official adaptations.

This article seems to indicate otherwise. Development of the Mind Movie version seemed to be in full swing in 1986, the Interplay game came out in 1988:

Leary eventually brought Neuromancer to Interplay, but I don't know if anything of the version(s) he was developing made it into theirs. I *think* using the Devo song in the soundtrack originated from Leary's development.

I look at his pose on this perch and all I can think of is the "synchronize memory" bits from Assassin's Creed when you climb the towers.

Tell me this guy gets to do a backflip off there into a pile of hay.

I enjoyed Dead Island for what it was, but didn't play it until well after all the hubbub died down from the game not living up to the trailer.

Yeah, that's what I meant. A portion of that space required would be for a permanent install, so you wouldn't get ALL of the space back, but it would only take up that much space when you're actually playing.

I'm sure others probably hypothesized this, but maybe it just means it needs that space while playing? Like it just needs that much free space to pull stuff from the disc during the course of playing the game, but when you're done and eject the disc you get that space back?

AH, gotcha.

No, I meant in Dead Island. The trailer you posted for Dead Island has a zombie kid, the actual game doesn't. So while it used the emotional impact of a kid turning into a zombie in marketing the game, the game itself has no zombie children (I forget if there are even any children NPCs at all.)

The trailer on the No

I don't think there are any zombie children in the actual game, though. So as controversial as the zombie kid in the trailer may have been, that game avoided the issue altogether.

Or maybe it was just that box art.

Haunted House, Atari 2600.

I suppose it's because they weren't for console, but no mention of HD remakes like The Secret of Monkey Island. These are remakes of games that are in the decades-old category.

Glitch? Or... feature!

I've only just started it, but basically the city is twice the size of the map in AC... but half of it is THE SAME MAP from AC. It's just not walled off and flooded and falling apart. It's not run down and taken over entirely by criminals yet. But you've got amusement mile, the radio station, industrial district, etc.

Has there been a team up of Dazzler and Jubilee? They should, like, totally solve crimes together, and then throw dance parties.

So just like the FRONTLINE COMMANDO games for mobile? Basically shooting galleries, but in each scene you have a number of covers you can switch to.
