Sound has a big effect on how a person can perceive time. Music especially can effect mood. And volume is obviously a factor as well. I'm sure everyone has tried playing a game or two with the sound or music off and have noticed the game feels different. When you're playing an action game, the music often sets a

Well, I already mentioned this is the other gift thread, but since this is specific to comics: TEEN BOAT! The only graphic novel about a teen who can transform into a boat! And I'll go you one better than an image and post an animated music video for the book!

Making a beautiful screenshot is one thing, making it beneficial to the game is something else. I'm not just talking about frame rates, either. A lot of times I'll see very artful screenshots, with cool lighting, contrast, focus, etc., and yet when you install those mods it makes actually seeing things while you're

I hope whichever studio (Bethesda proper or Obsidian) does Fallout 4 (or 5 if you count New Vegas as 4) implements into the Skyrim engine some of the additions Obsidian came up with for NV. The companion wheel in NV made dealing with companions A LOT easier than just the dialogue system Fallout 3 had, and I found it

TEEN BOAT! It's the only graphic novel about a teenager who can transform into a small yacht. It's got the ANGST of being a teeen and the THRILL of being a boat!

At first when I read "Labyrinth/Pac-Man mash-up", I pictured the wooden, marble-rolling Labyrinth game, only with pellets and ghosts. Not the Henson film. But this is cool, too, especially The Dark Crystal one.

I love Unyeah. The video for Orinoco Flow was awesome.

It's funny just how much the original Kenner representations of the Star Wars characters has permeated representations of the characters elsewhere. For instance, the Kenner Hoth Han Solo, with his tan pants. He never wore tan pants on Hoth, they're gray. Hasbro corrected this a decade or so later with new releases.

I think one of the biggest differences is in the script, the planet IS LV-426, the same planet from the first two films. Which very much confirms my initial suspicion that it was always supposed to be the same planet, and that the crashed ship is the one found in Alien, and that the distress beacon the Nostromo

I just hope there's a better checkpoint system the GTAIV. I enjoyed that game for awhile, but could not get past some story-required chase-race, and the restart of the mission wasn't from the beginning of the race, but all the way in a different burough, and there was even a shootout and cut scenes in between. Losing

Where all those boxes come from truly is a legitimate question.

Maybe the met with a bunch of screenwriters to hear what they'd do with the material and he had a good pitch. Maybe he's just really talented. There are a number of writers and directors that don't stick to just one genre, so at some point early in their career that meant they had to be working on a new thing that was

Fox has distribution rights to the Episode 4 in perpetuity. They have the distribution rights to the other five films until 2020. So, after 2020 Disney will only be able to release Episodes 1,2,3,5, and 6. They'll have to strike a deal with Fox to ever be able to release a version of the original Star Wars.

What about used copies? Those aren't technically "unsold", as they've already been sold at least once.

Game Informer is actually like the #2 selling or distributed magazine in America (so I hear from people who'd know.) That *could* include the digital version. And they've been pushing the digital version a lot since they get more profit than the print version. I wouldn't be too surprised if the print version gets

Whoa, Portal "surfing" looks bizarre. I can imagine being able to drag a portal around a surface could lead to some interesting puzzles, especially time-based ones. It does look like it makes getting the various gels to cover large areas a lot easier (I remember it taking forever to get the white gel to cover the
