They later unmerged in the sharks expansion. The ownership of the north stars wanted to move to the Bay Area, the nhl gave them an expansion team instead. The sharks and stars split the old stars roster in half via dispersal draft and both teams drafted in the expansion draft.

You’re not wrong, but JP has many years of experience and his games with Ty Keough way back when were actually very good. Tony could also be a plus as he has a very solid grasp on the current international game. Just need to see if they talk over the whole game or let it breathe.

It’s too bad that the announcers aren’t going to be at the games. But don’t doubt the quality of some of them.

Derek Rae is amongst the world’s best; the Scot belongs in the class with Martin Tyler and Jon Champion. And Glenn Davis is probably the best American announcer.

Stuart Holden and Tony Meola are very strong

If you get out of your car on a race track with a race going on and the first thing you do isn’t to sprint to the side of the track, you’re basically committing suicide.

you obviously have no understanding of how sprint cars handle on dirt then

Oh I remember this. Ward was the dumbass who got out of his car on a hot/live track and ran in front of Stewart.

I mean, the kid was high and ran out on an active race track. It’s not a leap to assume his judgement may have been somewhat impaired.

A turn-biased sprint car on dirt doesn’t handle like your mom’s Corolla.

wearing black. on a live race track. at night. You’re wrong.

If you launch on green when drag racing, your reaction time will be 1.2 to 1.4 seconds. You have to launch on the second yellow to cut a .500 light. And that is an event where you KNOW what is about to happen.

The more I read about this the less sympathy I have for the family. Some of the claims the family’s legal team are making are nothing but conjecture which should have no place in deciding fault (civil vs criminal blah blah blah I’m familiar with the difference and the standard of evidence.) I’m actually a little

I agree. Even if Stewart had intentionally caused Ward Jr. to crash to get him out of the race, that actual incident that caused Ward’s death was him running out in front of Stewart’s car on a dirt track.

Kid made a really stupid decision. It’s sad that he died. His family looks pretty stupid dragging this out. Unfortunate that Stewart has to pay to make them shut up but that’s American way.

nah, sucide by sprint car

I’m still surprised anything came out of it, though I can see it being just to make them go away. A kid with MJ in his system knowingly approaching a low-visibility race car (seriously, try sitting in one with full gear) that is notoriously difficult to control seems like it should be cut and dry. If there wasn’t a

Glare, mud, dust and exhaust fumes would impede visibility greatly.

I am sorry that someone died but also mad that a race driver would get out of his race car, step on to a live racing track, to threaten another driver and then when that driver gets hurt/killed, let’s blame the other guy.

The family sure does a good job of sounding like this is a simple shake down of a rich guy because they can. No one forced this guy to get out of his car on a racetrack and give other drivers minimal time to react. While driving on dirt.

One of 9 million reasons why New York as a state is a complete and utter joke.

Well this is going to get fun.
