i used to spend $300-$500 on a new pc. a console is usually $250-$500 when it comes out. so why not put in a bit more cash for something you are going to buy anyway.

I'm really liking X so far actually (started playing it for reals a week or two ago). It's very, very, very similar to XIII and I'm surprised that so many people are giving XIII a hard time for things that have been in the series for well over a decade.

I don't think that's the issue. I played from Vanilla through Cata. It has always been hardcore if you want it to be, casual if you don't.
