I am still amazed that Officers are able to claim that there was a “malfunction” of a body camera. I understand the need to disable the cameras during sensitive situations (but I could probably be convinced otherwise.) What I don’t understand is how cops can just say “oh, it broke” or “oh, I must have hit the button…

Nina Hartley spoke at one of my University classes and she was insightful, engaging, a great storyteller, and just really smart. She was probably better than a lot of the part time lecturers most universities employ.
