There wasn't an official press release, just hints and rumors coming from Microsoft-insider sites.

What?

I agree that the Lincoln Center Lowes is indeed the better IMAX experience.

Man, that sucks.

Why more than one, until WP shows better sales?

Another amazing thing about Apple is the cash pile that they sit on: approximately $75-$80 Billion.

Because a turn-around like Apple's is extremely rare. It almost never succeeds. Usually, companies, particularly tech companies, that close to death's door, go bust.

Apple will also likely see a lot of new business that'll be streaming in to Grand Central.

Actually, sales aren't going so well in emerging markets either. They saw *decreased* sales in China, and in most of Asia generally.

Whatever what anyone thinks of WP7, sales of Nokia WP phones would need to be off the charts-huge right out of the gate, in order to have any meaningful impact on Nokia's survival.

I agree.

Nokia doesn't sell their smart phones through carriers in the U.S. Aside from the E71 on AT&T four years ago, or Astound (C7), they largely ignore the U.S. market.

It does suck a bit that this will never see U.S. shores, but as we all know, Nokia isn't a huge name here.

There's actually a nicely placed Easter egg in the poster: the Superman 'S' shield. It's on the first building on the left.

They can put 'CFG' in creative font lettering on the cover, but at the end of the day, any guy will hang his head in shame knowing that he bought an issue of Cosmo. For Guys.

You can't be a little open or closed. It's binary. An OS is either open or it's not. It's like saying you're a little bit pregnant.

It may eventually take off, and I like the Windows Phone UI and all. Heck, I own a Zune.

....except that Microsoft's Windows Phone is just as much of a walled garden as iOS.

I'm far from a Michael Bay fan, but I think this is a bit unfair.

I disagree about the comparison with Apple. As has been pointed out, unlike RIM, Apple is not a single product line company.
