Agreed...the sport is highly based off of money...from teams, sponsors, tv partners, etc. You need the drivers to take a full blown stand on it. While the people on the fringe say that NASCAR is southern sport...many, many, of the drivers were not born in the south.

Torch I would star this 1000 times if possible. I love the Shuttle/Buran comparison and debate that always springs from it.

Not necessarly correct here. I have been to almost every NASCAR track for work and have seen many flags in some locations and very few at others. Take a track like Miami, Phoenix, or even Auto Club in CA. You don’t see many, if any, at these tracks.

I was trying to post that great photo of the Pontic Aztek shit show launch...and commented that I thought the ‘marketing brains’ at GM jumped the shark with that one. I now see that the shark was not, in fact, jumped that day, but has been jumped today.

Between that idiot shooting up a church and this shit show I have a real problem with the examples of my race recently.
