I couldn't count the number of customers I've waited on who put their serious face on and claim to really be celiac and have a "serious" intolerance...then order chips and queso, or hummus with pita bread. While I disagree on whether or not it's an outlandish request (especially if the restaurant is busy or it isn't that fancy of a place), as a server I know I speak for all of us in appreciation of your over-tipping!

UGH. So obnoxious. But I do love when people ask for ridiculous requests like that, or for crazy substitutions b/c our kitchen just won't do it, and I get to tell customers NOPE. One of my greatest pleasures.

That's fine if you want to ask for that, but please tip your server a few extra bucks if they do it for you. That kind of shit takes time and slows down service for everyone else, which typically results in lower tips for the server.

That was my thought, as well. Targeting rapists and holding them and them alone responsible for rape is exactly what will dismantle rape culture.
