I live near a similar major tourist landmark in San Francisco. Yes, tourists are always around (sometimes on Segways!), yes they often stumble into crosswalks or stand in the middle of the street, take photos near/of my house and clog up the roads/sidewalks and parks with their visiting self.

Right? I live in a heavily touristed area in SF and am constantly surprised when other people who live there complain. It's been a tourist area for at least 30 years. Most of the money in the neighborhood comes from tourists.
