@-MasterDex-: It'll likely stay that way, getting table scraps every now and then and MS still claiming that they are focusing a bit more on PC gaming.

@Ehardergardens: I think you're misunderstanding what 3D the term is. Virtual boy was more about VR, vector graphics to give the illusion to 3D. It was just trying to push out 3D-graphics gaming, not 3D-display gaming.
@Shorties: Ha! 1080p streaming. Thats going to require what, 4x the bandwidth of 720p, possibly more? The likely hood is the compression will be so bad with artifacts it is likely a 720p upscale with artifacts galore. Overcharges will just be worse, you may only get a few hours at best unless you have TB caps or…
@Redwinters: My point is, why bother with console graphics on a pc? Why not just get an actual console? You don't have to pay anything to keep playing your games either, and you get other distribution options.
@Shorties: A "really powerful computer to play games on" isn't limited to 720p. At best, this is console graphics.
@Ehardergardens: The reason I don't understand it is because Naughty Dog is just one company. I was using the SDK thing as a reason for why everything was rushed, developers got their hands on it late and software library suffered for a year. It goes along with my slapped-together claim.
@Ehardergardens: We can discuss this ad nauseam but it is clear that you will always look at all these hardware tweaks as innovative and I won't.
@Ehardergardens: The perception in what innovative means has definitely changed for most. It has become a marketing term similar to how "Unrated" is some label for making sales. People slap the word innovative on their product and people think of it as meaning something "New" and "great".
@SG79: And, Nintendo isn't really known for licensing things like that. They build small deals and/or order things like that.
@SG79: What? Wasn't meant for low powered devices? What the hell is the Wii then? The Wii is a low power consuming device, and as chips get smaller so does power consumption.
@SG79: I'd take a guess that Nintendo only shrunk their gekko chip to 1/8th its old size or something. It has been roughly that many years. I'd take a guess they are using something similar to that if not an offshoot of it.
@VincentGrey: I'm pretty damn sure the 3DS is more like a gamecube in terms of power. The PSP is like a weaker PS2 or slightly weaker Dreamcast.
@Hey_Blinkon: It is like how GTA4 was. They show it first, to hopefully make people think it is exclusive.
@Ehardergardens: The gamecube wasn't innovative, unless you really believe optical mediums used on a nintendo console was "innovative".
@Ehardergardens: You just base it off taking word from a company that claims innovation every year, especially how the gamecube was "innovative."
@Ehardergardens: The reason to claim it as a new pillar is one of several reasons for it being basically slapped together. It showed up out of nowhere basically, was pushed out for Holiday season (to get Xmas sales) and had lackluster software for nearly a year.
@liquidnumb: Yes, that's non-propietary, they have to make their own custom shape which drives up the cost.
@MissAshley42: I never heard of Bizarro world. Microsoft's conference was lame, not awesome. I think you have me mixed with someone else?
@DJBeatz Mullet of the streets: Hell yes!!! R* needs to do that
@Spanone: Impossible, more licensing issues. Activision has the license for another 5 or 8 years I think.
