@eaglen: Not saying it was a bad vehicle. Just wound up working on it quite a bit.

@Maymar: I drive a DeVille. Great car, and the FWD is nice when it snows. They also had the option of a 4.9L V8 that didn't have the issues that the northstar did.

@JackTrade: Coming from a guy that owned one: You didn't miss much. It was fun to drive but I worked on that little beast as much as I drove it.

Jeeps.

@ponytuner: Don't bet on it. Crackheads will steal freakin' anything.

I was starting to think everyone of these left on the road was brown or blue.

@1991Brougham: My thoughts exactly. I can't imagine yanking the guts out of my Caddy to save a few pounds.

I've recommended Panther platform Fords to people and actually had them buy them.

@jalopnik_made_me_do_it: The C4 has a hell of an enthusiast following. While some people turn their noses up at this car, you can't call it overlooked.

One of the few newer BMWs I like. But too beat up, too sketchy.

They must have been feeling left out.

A really good friend has this same car in dark green. I'm going to think of this add every time I see it now.

@ømg grip: Kinda my thoughts as well. The really maddening thing is that GM is actually making a handful of good vehicles now. Why not point that out?

Dammit GM. Another "buy our stuff 'cause you have fond memories" series of adds. This isn't going to work with a lot of people.

Here's some fun: Drive one of the 4 cylinder Camaros available in the '80s. A guy I knew bought one. He was PROUD of it. It barely got out of its own way.

I would love to rent this thing. Then pull into an exclusive 5 star dining establishment or country club. The look on the patron's faces (and the valet) would be priceless.
