That’s what I thought, too. In this day and time, however, I don’t really understand all of the points of bringing up old cases or incidents, so I just ask politely for some explanation. Might learn something or gain perspective I guess.

I think people try to find more villains in situations like this specifically because it seems so difficult to do anything concrete with the obvious offenders. So the focus shifts to, “Who else can we pin this on?” And people who knew, worked with, or had any sort of meaningful association with the primary offender
