Probably a stupid question; but I'm assuming this SDK is for PC development? I've really been wanting to get a kinect lately, but this might just push me to the edge- if I could write a plugin for navigating my 3d programs with kinect it'd be extremely handy!

To my understanding; Developers already pay rent: They pay a fee yearly to remain a developer; this is simply cutting into their personal revenue.

Too easy. When I have kids they'll be using Google Chrome, and all I have to do is go to under the hood & show passwords.

They really do; I can read the headline in like 10 seconds but I can spend hours on the comments haha. Let me know of your thoughts on pulse! :D

As we've learned from Apple; Function almost always is better over form.

I live on comments, the new redesign killed a ton of the commenters, it took me a couple days to even figure it out properly; and I rarely see my replies now. I simply avoid the mobile version because I can't stand not having the thumbnails; in addition I have flash on my phone, if there's an embedded video- damnit I

I'm aware of that, hell I'm buying a Xoom on thursday; I'd gladly use Google's OnePass as it syncs & only takes 10% in regards to 30, still; users that are bought into the Apple atmosphere will suffer if they wish to switch; If providers are threatening to pull out now then how many more in the future? Re-purchasing

Can't do multi-column scrolling on the Nexus either; I hate the mobile version, my Nexus has flash and a damned good processor- the old layout worked fine! I'm picking up a xoom on thursday and since that supports a mouse and keyboard I'll try it out and see how it goes, but it seems I'm going to resort to adblock and

I hate the mobile version; I like the photo thumbnails on the articles. The update completely ruined it for me, I don't read mobile anymore.

I was under the impression it's a microusb port- that'd mean that it can't do flash drives :\

Go check out 'Galaxy On Fire 2' on Youtube; look for the MWC video of the company demoing it on the xoom; they compare it to the ipad version, and the honeycomb optimized version has 4x the polycount, realtime shaders & more all thanks to the nvidia goodness- with renderscript the quality of apps on honeycomb+ tablets

Couldn't agree more, the new layout is nice for desktops (as the middle mouse can scroll the articles on the right and left independently) but horrible on tablets! Viewing the site on my Nexus One is horrid!

The only problem is that the iPad is still in it's infancy, if everyone has one in 10 years and quits buying desktops/laptops or whatnot and starts subscribing via iPad only; that'll severely cut into profits. I'm not looking at the localized perspective of just a year or two, of course the margin is small now: I'm

Only problem with that is that they are forbidden by law to make the guns look like real guns, that's why all the toy guns have the orange plastic on them; I'm sure they could make an amazing looking sci-fi gun, heck they could get away with copying the link gun from UT3, but they wouldn't be able to put it into a

Oh this is freaking brilliant.

As I'm in my 4th year of college as a game developer; I can't even tell you how much we consider walmart a necessary evil. They're horrible in ways Apple can't dream.

Could be interesting; If they make a good enough effort and push for developers to tie-in Remote Play in Ps3 games; this could certainly be a powerhouse tablet.

Case and point: Angry Birds on a tablet.

Check out the Xoom then; or maybe even the galaxy tab 10.1, seeing as how it plays friendly with Apple stuff & DoubleTwist is a good faster replacement for iTunes, it might be a fiesable replacement :)
