@McBeese: Not quite; see my comment above: I already discussed that possibility- in addition to their ocular nerves (if they have any) not being on the same level of spectrum as our own, thus the pictures could be worthless.

@djdare: That's true, though if you're referring to us using archeology; you must remember that things like heiroglyphics haven't been completely deciphered yet- and in addition, that being the case; they were still written by humans, not another species.
