The way it was “practiced” in America gave support to the labor movement, desegregation, women’s rights, and etc. It drew some prominent thinkers and entertainers of its time before the Red Scare and Mcarthyism. You can think what you want but this is why it’s not compared to the KKK in America. Its other ideas might

You’re talking about it as if it’s the KKK. If they think communism is a better political system then I’m happy for them. Communism gets its reputation from Russia but it does not include torture, repression, authoritarianism, and etc. in its very definition.

It’s kinda hopeless that you have to explain this to Trump supporters. These people think the spouting racist views is “telling it like it is” or being “politically correct”. How do you argue with them? Being respectful of everyone’s political views does not mean you treat racist ideology with the same respect as

Not sure what you’re confused about. The other candidates on both sides are not racist. That alone should be enough. You do know that saying Mexicans are rapists is racist right? It’s not telling it like it is or politically correct, it’s flat out wrong.

Uh, not sure how this is activist journalism. If the NBA or NFL endorses Trump ESPN would cover it. News outlets do editorials all the time which are opinions of the news room or opinion columns. If you don’t like reading opinion columns, just ignore it.

Tying the doors together with the chains would make the chain carrying a part of the load that would otherwise be carried entirely by the locks.

Where’s the 2009 Jill Wagner?

Barrel bombs!!

I think it’s just old people in general. I tried explaining the idea of crumple zones to my Chinese mother in law and she just kept repeating how the first car she had when she came to this country (40 years ago) was the safest car ever.

Can someone explain why red states, most of which are not on the coast (except TX, SC, NC and GA), are obsessed with going back to the Middle East to “finish the job” when most of the terrorist attacks have been in the blue states? Not to mention their stance against immigrants and refugees given how much more

Don’t mean to be a stickler but the margins are a lot closer than 10%. The fastest guys are only 3-4% faster than the average based on rough calculations. That’s why you can hide a tiny motor, drivetrain, and battery in the frame. If you were any faster then it would look really awkard and weird.

That’s beside the point. I understand the big guys shop around and it’s a fact of life but I’m saying it’s unfair to the little guys. By not giving tax breaks to small business that have ties to the area you’re still favoring large companies over small ones. I get it life is not fair but if you look at it rationally

I agree with you in general. A lot of these large projects, stadiums included, have rosy economic impact projections that are really hard if not almost impossible to quantify scientifically. Sure there will be economic gains but enough to offset the loss in tax revenue? Hard to say if you can’t measure the impact

Doesn’t that logic work for everyone looking to start a business no matter the size? How come if I don’t get a tax break if I want to start a hot dog stand? If I make money then I’m going to pay taxes otherwise there wouldn’t have been any revenue for the state to tax to begin with. I really don’t care as long as the

I posted more details elsewhere but basically, the restaurant owners do not give two shits about their delivery workers. These guys make tip and often have to provide their own transportation with no benefits. Yes, you can say that they can quit anytime they want. I did because it was interfering with school but a lot

Uh, ok but I’m just saying it’s shitty all around and the delivery guy is in the middle. It might be better if the customer tips accordingly but you can’t count on it. Yeah for me it wasn’t worth my time but I was going to school and didn’t need this. For people that need it we need to do better. It’s not enough to

The shop doesn’t give a crap about the delivery guy. They just care that when you come back you’ve brought back enough cash to pay for the order. They don’t pay for gas either so keep that in mind when you tip. I delivered pizza for a bit in college. I got ticketed by the campus police for parking in the curbside

I delivered pizza for a bit back in college. Most people are jerks and don’t tip if they are by themselves. The worst was when I delivered a pizza to an apartment complex near Ithaca airport from the Commons. Normally it’s about a 10 minute drive but with a frigging blizzard it took me 45 minutes and another 10

S2000, duh. I would say especially the AP1, although I have an AP2. Prices for decent examples have been going up. That and combined with Honda’s ability to underwhelm (ie. CRZ, new NSX) means that they literally won’t ever make another car like this. Maybe they’ll make a new one but it’s going to be like the NSX

It’s just insane how many shiny full size trucks I see in the SF Bay area with empty beds. The only ones with stuff in it are PG&E work trucks and old Japanese compact trucks with loads of gear on them. I think most of the guys that need them are just waiting to buy second hand trucks when the new gen comes out.
